Very small learning curve and excellent fast scans
This product worked just as advertised, Very small learning curve and excellent fast scans, extremely happy with the products functions and performance . Although I was unable to give it 5 stars because plastic (?) negative holders seem like they are not of the best design, metal hinges would make me much more comfortable in using this in the long run. Also there is no address in any of the literature as to where spare holders can be obtained. The receptacle for the USB plug is on the right side of the scanner very close to where the SD card and film negative holders go in, very awkward trying to work around this plug extending out, also the receptacle is not recessed enough so the plug does not get "captured" by the housing, so the plug kind of dangles there, not helping matters is the short length of the cable and the heavy ferrite on the cable close to the plug, adding further stress on an already flimsy physical connection. but 5 stars to the seller for their extremely responsive and excellent customer service! If the connector was moved to a more remote location on the scanner and the physical connection beefed up this would be a 5 + star unit!

Easy and quickly to produced high resolution results
Well scanner. I use to scan 12 boxes of 20-40 year old slides&negative filmand about 100 photos. Easy and quickly to produced high resolution results. It was nice to be able to make adjustments to the lightness & RGB in preview mode before scanning. I was able to scan slide and negative film with different settings to pick the best out later.I have some suggestions:1,First,Choose different settings for slide, positive negative fillm or photos, because this is a Multi-function Combo scanner. 2, Make adjustments to the lightness & RGB in preview mode before scanning: The scanner often takes a couple seconds to adjust the light for each slide. Give it that time before scanning or saving the scan. If necessary, adjust the lightness and adjust until the best setting is reached for each slide. Left arrow flips the slide horizontally & the right arrow rotates it vertically. 3, After scanning loaded the SD card onto computer, you need setting scanner to USB model. On the computer, you created any folder on the SD card window , Then you can copy this folder toyour computer. 4, The packge include a 8G sd card, I don't need to buy again. but attention to the lock button on the card may slide down to the locked position, preventing you from creating the folder on the card when on your computer. Eject and check to make sure the button is slid up to the top position. Same thing applies to inserting the SD card into the scanner. The process of inserting it can slide the button down.5,It not only scan A4, even tiny photos, It gives better results!6, If necessary use basic photo editing program on your computer.

OK for the Price. Does the Job.
Purchased this to scan my parents photos and Slides to give to the whole family. Scan quality is good but no the best. Photos were sometimes grainy as were some slides. Negatives were better but not by much.I did verify all setting to try and improve quality but never got the level I was looking for. The one thing it has going for it was portability. Running on +5v USB connection and with a Phone charging Power Bank I count take it anywhere. And all scans were to the included SD Card so as Listed no Computer needed to scan. The LCD display made lining up slides or picture easier. I have use this for better part of 2 month and it is served its purpose well not I will look and a different brant and features if a replacement is needed.

Easy to use and did the intended job
I only used the 35mm negative scanner function so far and it was easy and did a good job converting it to a JPEG file. The screen is a great help to line up the negatives as you slide the holder. The screen resolution is not good enough to utilize the editing functions but it gets you in the general ball park. The speed of the scanning was great and the quality of the JPEG was good. No complaints.

Don’t buy this
I think this thing is a piece of junk. Seriously save your money. It was okay at scanning slides... just OK. The images Are just as good as the light bulb in this box which isn’t very good. I will post the pictures I scanned versus having the same scanned at Costco which is what I ended up doing. It would take years for me to scan all my slides with this device. Way too much work to make this worthwhile. The scans of prints were simply not acceptable and my $50 printer by HP does a better job.The reviews of this thing make me question the validity of any reviews on Amazon. I find it hard to believe any of the 5 star reviews could be true.

Ok for slides, lousy for pictures
First off, this is not a "scanner"; it's a photo box. I have thousands of pictures and hundreds slides to scan and I purchased the DIGITNOW Photo Scanner for the portability and ease of use. If I was ONLY rating the DIGITNOW for portability and ease of use, I would give it 5 stars. However, I had hoped that the quality would be acceptable. For slides, it was pretty good. For images, it was lousy. The first image is at the highest setting of the DIGITNOW (22MP) and the second image is from my flat bed scanner at a medium density scan. The DIGITNOW image clarity and image color are very poor compared to the flat bed scanner. This is why I am returning the device. I am very disappointed.

Quick and easy copies
Easy to use. Quality Jpgs. You must copy slides to an sd card, then copy off the card onto your computer. I had hoped the USB would let you see the photos on the computer in real time , but it is only for power.
