No, & I don’t feel any bubble envelope will have enough padding for that. It needs to be in a box and the entire open space in the box filled with something like bubble wrap or newspaper to keep the jar from moving.

How long can these be stored before they begin to degrade beyond usability?

Store in a cool, dry location and they should be good for a few years. Once moisture interacts with the paper degradation begins to set in.
