Very fast, reliable, and well designed
Best desktop I have ever purchased! Every reasonable feature the sophisticated home computer needs. Small power supply is not problem. If necessary, a standard power supply can easily be modified and used. The i7-12700 is much faster than any equivalent CPU.

Good solid machine, and a bargain to boot!
This is of course a refurbished ("renewed") PC, but I'll just say it arrived almost antiseptically clean, as if it just rolled off the factory line. I tried first to buy a new one, but HP was out of stock, so I decided to try this renewed one. It turned out to be a good decision, and I saved quite a bit of money in the process. The first thing I did was install and run Speccy to confirm the build, and it is exactly as advertised and all in good working order. I was also pleased to see many components with brand names like Toshiba and Samsung. In terms of build, it comes with an Intel i7-12700 processor with Intel 770 integrated graphics, 16GB of RAM (which can be expanded to 32), Windows 11 Home on a 512GB SSD, and a 2TB storage hard drive. The power supply is a robust 312 W, instead of the 180-200 W PS found in many new PCs. And unlike most new PCs these days, it also comes with an installed CD/DVD R/W drive. It's vertical, and a little flimsy feeling, but it works fine.Okay, this PC doesn't have the absolute latest and greatest processor. While it is a Core i7, it's now three generations old (having been superseded by two later versions of the i7, and now the newer i9). But at the same time, it's faster than the previous Core i5, as well as the processors that preceded it. Without getting into the technical details, you pay a lot less and get most of the benefits of the latest architecture.Externally, there is an array of USB ports - both USB-A and one USB-C - with both SSD (USB 3.0) and 2.0 ports on front and back. It also has a handy SD card reader built into the front of the case for your digital photos. It also comes with a keyboard and mouse, both USB wired. I'll also note that the tower-style case is the same height and width, but almost 6" shorter front-to-back, than my other tower cases. This PC probably doesn't have enough resources for heavy gaming or for doing intensive tasks like heavy video editing, but for the vast majority of users it is a pretty snappy machine that should serve you well for many years to come. As with all things, it's a compromise between having the newest and best and not breaking the bank. Today's newest PCs are extremely expensive, and for most people they are frankly overkill. For email, internet browsing, mid-level gaming, online shopping, stock trading, banking, graphics viewing and editing, video streaming and YouTube, etc., etc., etc., this is your machine.Don't be concerned about it being "renewed" - they do a good job of testing and repairing as needed to make it good as new, and it comes with its own guarantee. For me, this is almost the perfect solution for my aging Dell i5 PC. I saved money, got an i7 processor, improved graphics, an SSD for the OS and apps, a "bonus" 2TB hard drive, 16GB RAM, an internal CD/DVD drive, and an overall factory-fresh machine. Get yourself one!

Wouldn’t connect to the internet
I was pretty happy with the condition and price of this computer. But it could not connect to the internet and it won’t do anything without the internet. The first task after you push the start button is internet (I have both Ethernet and WiFi) connection, after trying several different options it still wouldn’t connect. I sent it back and had no issue with a refund.. I bought a new one from HP (exact same model) for only $50 more and it connected immediately. Not a big fan of refurbished and this added to that mistrust.
