Quality dual dash-cam well worth it's price.
Quality dual dashcam that is easy to install, even using the hardwire kit to provide power via the fuse-box. Good quality, even via the rear-view camera though I suspect not as good as having a dedicated rear-view camera. However, this arrangement negates the need for dragging cables along the inside length of the car.Nice capabilities to download and view the videos on a mobile phone and the app is easy to use. The WiFi connectivity works well though is woefully slow. The suction cup is perhaps the only "major" flaw as it will fall off every 2 to 3 months. One other issue, which is related to my suspension being soft and therefore prone to windy conditions which means that I can't use the "parking crash sensor" as the dash-cam thinks the car has crashed at every gust of wind.

Big improvement over last model
Had the original duo for an xmas prezzie. It worked great, however, it was too difficult to remove (I have walls sausages for fingers). The new unit is held in place by a magnet. so it is very easy to put away when parking on the street. My last one got nicked and cost me a door window. The wifi/bluetooth feature is also very good. I just need to work out how to reduce the amount of megabytes it uses, so I can upload video etc. Lol.

Very Good, but..
I have just purchased my 2nd Nextbase Duo. Set Up is very easy, and so far, haven't luckily needed its use for my other car It would be better if they supplied an SD card as part of the purchase. Having unknowingly just bought a counterfeit SAN Disk card(not from Amazon) I've now found out from SD that their standard card is not suitable for Dash Cams, which I didn't realise. They recommend their 64GB High Endurance Video Monitoring Card. If Nextbase bought in bulk, they could supply that with the camera, at very little extra cost(if any)

Best Dash Cam available online on any website.
I first ordered MX2 dash cam after reading the reviews. As expected arrived next day on time was so happy to use my first ever dash cam, went for a drive but when i checked the recordings i was so disappointed rear view camera is very poor, front is alright but you cannot even read number plates unless car is stopped at signal. Returned MX2 and after 4 hour search i decided to order Nextbase duo. It is expensive but as compared to other sites amazon is cheaper. When it arrived i quickly went for a drive again. When I played the videos on computer i was shocked with the result they are so clear its like using my smart phone. Pure HD recordings, rear view is long distance and very clear. Its better to have front and rear cameras in one to avoid extra cables running around your car. I went to Devon and dash cam recorded some nice videos with stunning views which i can post online.I am glad I ordered it. You get what you pay for, plus amazon 3 year breakdown and accidental coverage give you piece of mind if you are scared of dropping the cam every time you take it off. 1000% recommended.

Number Plates Indecipherable
Beware! To the untrained eye or inexperienced, this Dashcam seems like a good product. But there are serious flaws to its design that will only become apparent when you have to rely on it for evidence in accident or incident. As a Driving Instructor my Dashcams get extensive use for both education and security. Over the last 4 years I have bought and trialed many Dashcams.I was drawn to this Dashcam due to the simplicity of design, easily fitted and removed from a vehicle, with the benefit of front and rear cameras in one module.VIDEO QUALITYWhen playing back video, especially on mobiles or tablets, the video quality seems clear and sharp. But when you really need to capture number plates (which is the main reason you have it!) it is a MAJOR let down (see attached video capture taken of vehicle overtaking at 30 mph in good daylight). I have tried multiple times on several occasions to read number plates from the video footage of people driving dangerously. The frame rate is poor at 30 fps, and obviously although not stated, the bitrate is low. The only way to increase the frame rate is to reduce the resolution which makes video clarity even worse. If you want to truly want to be sure of capturing number plates, Dashcams with a 2K resolution are far more reliable. That said, the Viofo A129 (dual camera), which I have changed this Dashcam for, has the same 1080p resolution, but the bitrate is better and number plates are readable.REAR CAMERAThe rear image is pretty good, but the long lens is set too long, so you never get all the rear window view in (see attached video capture). What you do see is very good though, better than most rear cameras with wide angle lens. However because it is a long lens, camera shake is obvious, particularly at speed above 40mph.FIXING BRACKETThis is a problematic. When you look at the front camera video movement of the camera is very obvious, like a ripple/wobble of the image. This is due to play between the GPS unit and the camera mounting bracket. I taped around the joint and it has all but removed the worst movement (see attached photo - I'll use black tape next time!). There is also some movement from the suction cup - which allows rotation of the camera.AUDIOVery good and clear.MENUSIntuitive and clearSUMMARYChocolate fireguard. No Dashcam is of any real benefit if you can't identify a vehicle involved in a hazardous situation.

Worth the money
Had this approx. 4 weeks now. Best dash cam l have had. The rear view feature is quality, just need to adjust the camera to avoid the passengers headrest. May not be ideal for you if your passenger ‘has’ to have their sun visor down.I found the suction holder to be poor, however once l found the best position for the cam l used the heavy duty sticker included. By doing so this also put a stop the wobble of the cam whilst driving, which was noticeable when in the playback mode. The G Shock function if enabled will constantly be working due to the state of the UK roads ( you can adjust the sensitivity)
