Great replacement for Ford Flip Key (if you have original key)
I am very impressed with how this key turned out. The "flip" function of my original key stopped working so I thought this key would work if i just replaced the board and the key. The videos on online say to pop the pin out and replace the cut portion of the key, but i found this to be very difficult. The pin just wouldn't come out. I eventually gave up on the pin and tried just replacing the entire key and it fit like a glove. The only thing you should be careful of is when you install the old key into the new body, you have to understand how the key is meant to flip out. I didn't pay close enough attention and I just swapped the key. When I closed it back up, it wouldn't flip out because the spring was not wound correctly. The trick is to install the key in the "flipped" or "out" position, then gently press the button to close it halfway, then turn the key manually back to the open position and repeat a few times to "wind" up the spring. But don't over tighten, or the spring will break! You have to find the right number of times to wind up the spring to make the key flip out strong and fast, but not too much as to break the spring. It took me about 30 minutes of fidgeting with it before I really figured it out. Hopefully this review will save you some time.Besides that, it's a great replacement. Feels just like the original, except for the missing ford logo which I didn't really care about anyway. Definitely worth the small price I paid for the key and it beats paying $200 to the ford dealership!

A great value!
I only needed the metal piece (including the release button and spring) into which the key blade is attached with a small diameter pin. I reused everything else from the original key fob.Pros: the price and the quality and fit of the parts supplied in the kit are excellent.Cons (and this is not a dig against the kit): if you reuse your original key blade you may have to file away some of the key blade metal to make it fit into the metal piece that holds the key blade (like I did). But if your original key blade and the metal piece that holds it are not damaged you can just transfer it from the old fob shell to the new fob shell. If you reuse your original key blade but also use the new metal piece that holds the key blade, getting the release button properly oriented into the piece that holds the key blade can be a bit tricky, because proper orientation is not obvious. You can do it, but you may have to try it several ways before getting it right. All in all I’m very happy I was able to get this kit at such a good price instead of having to pay a Ford dealer an exorbitant amount for a new key fob and the programming it needs.

Do not buy!
I bought the first one and didn't learn my lesson. The first one wouldn't stay together and I almost lost my key because it fell apart in a parking lot when I was exiting my vehicle. I put it back together and after about the 10th time falling apart I taped it together. I finally decided I would buy another one I thought maybe I got a bad one or I did something wrong. Well I received my new one yesterday and while getting out of my truck it fell apart again. Another thing is the key doesn't snap in and out like the factory key, it has a very weak spring. Ok so I guess I'll have to pay the 200 dollars and buy an overpriced factory key.
