I have installed these bars in various places in my house and they are very helpful plus discreet. Make sure you install them using long screws driven into wood if possible.

Just What I NEEDED
Being Disabled, This Grip Handle is just what I needed to pull myself up to the top of my stairs! My outside stairs have wooden rails and are difficult to grip to pull myself up onto the landing, having this makes it simple (and NO more splinters)

Makes me feel secure on steps
Be careful to install it properly. The handle should be pointing up when installed. Pull down to use. We installed it in our garage entrance to our house. Recently had knee surgery ( and getting a little older) and can use the extra help getting up the stairs. I feel secure grabbing it to support my weight. Handle flips up when not in use. I would recommend this product.
