Sealey Vs783 Universal Pulley and Fan Clutch Holder Set

Bought this to take the water pump off a 2004 Toyota Avensis 2.0 diesel. Anyone familiar with that job will know it is an absolute dose. Taking the injection pump pulley off requires 50% effort and 50% prayer.I bought this holder as I couldn't afford the OTC model, which had rave reviews. I was pleasantly surprised to find it's made of similarly thick metal and is satisfyingly heavy.Long story short, the holder didn't flex an inch while I was putting my full force behind a 18" breaker bar. Also made short work out of torquing up the crankshaft pulley, which needed 180Nm. Again, no flex.It's packaged in a nice strong red plastic case, and had multiple bits for different sizes and types of pulleys.I'd buy it again, and is roughly 50-60% cheaper than the OTC one. I don't buy cheap tools, but this is somewhere that I feel you're wasting money spending much more.

An awkward job if there was ever one on an MG TF. No room and cannot see the timing marks, this tool along with an alignment tool I purchased had the job done in minutes. I usually get by by whats in the tool box but this time I had to make a purchase. I looked at several and read some reviews and the Sealey was the no nonsense tool, there are cheaper tools available but this is a robust piece of kit and for the extra is was worth it.

Does the job as necessary

I'd wasted time and money on a cheap £12 unit from local motor factors which bent and simply didn't do the job on the cam pulley on my MGF. This however did the job immediately and properly. Highly recommended
