What a happy experience it was, buying this mattress!
What a happy experience it was, buying this mattress!I bought the single bed size and it was delivered quickly, well protected, and at the time and date specified, and on top of that, it is an excellent mattress at a brilliant price. For me it has the perfect combination of softness and support, and with its silvery-white cover it even looks beautiful. It has to be said that it is a very thick mattress (25cm), which makes it quite heavy to manoeuvre, but the handles at the side and at one end (never seen that before!) certainly help.If you're thinking perhaps that at this price it's too good to be true, then don't - there are no catches, it really is a bargain.

Cheap price = Poor quality
Pity I can't give this a zero star rating, never mind. I bought this mattress over 18 months ago, and have only now, just figured out why I have been in so much (on-going) pain for the past 16 months. Initially, I thought I was having heart problems. Chest pains etc. I had all the checks (angiograms etc) to be told that it is NON CARDIAC chest pain. It turns out that this mattress, whereas as it was supportive at first, quickly became way too soft for me. It sags, and doesn't support in any way. I actually dread going to bed now, and the chest pain that I get is still there, but now I also am suffering from chronic lower back pain. Thanks Happy Beds.I'm moving house in a month or two, so will be throwing this mattress in the skip (where it belongs) and purchasing something of way more substantial quality. Granted, I will have to pay more...but like the old adage goes, 'You pay for what you get'. Time and again, we all get bitten by cheap purchases...and this is one of those times in my opinion.

uneven firmness
On the first night it seemed like this mattress might be too firm for us. Both of us are average weight and height and prefer medium firm mattresses. After a few (3-4) nights it felt like it had softened up to an acceptable level. It felt however quite uneven...the spots where we had been sleeping were ok but the middle continued to be quite firm which was very evident when shifting positions during the night. I think that perhaps the quilting, which is on top of the spring portion and quite thick, started to "break in" after a few nights of being slept on while quilting in the middle of the mattress remained at the original firmness. Just be aware that this mattress is on the firm side and will require some time to "break in".

NOT IMPRESSED
I bought this bed for my 3 yearOld. I did alot of research in well known bed shops but non were the quality/price I wanted as I wanted it to last. This mattress arrived and the seem wasn't sewn on part at the foot of the bed. As I had no mattress for my son I just kept it and that has not been a problem. But what has been a problem is the firmness of this bed. God alone knows what it is made of as we have had it for 9 months and it has NOT given at all. It is no way a medium firmness both my husband and I have slept in it on numerous occasions particularly me when my son ends up in our bed and I can't sleep with the 2 of them. So my son is light weight but we certainly are not. I wake up with a back ache as does my husband and he likes a firm bed, but even for him it is far too firm. Happy beds are not interested in doing anything about this, they were most helpful when purchasing it but not when there is a problem. I have thought it will give over time but it has not. Big mistake I wish I had gone to bensons and bought a single version of our bed it is amazing I sleep like a baby in it (expensive but worth it) which is what my son should be doing in his bed. I have been advised that a young child (now 4) should not be sleeping on a firm mattress. NOT IMPRESSED HAPPY BEDS.

Excellent mattress
My husband is very pleased with this mattress and he finds it very comfortable. The support is excellent, though may be a little firm for some. It is a lot better than the memory foam mattress we bought, that due to his 15 stone weight, began to retain a dent only after a few weeks. Would be happy to recommend.

great product, great value
Always a bit scary ordering something like a mattress, you never know quite what will turn up, but this was every bit as good as I hoped it would be, great quality and a really good price, my son is very happy with it and says it is very comfortable. Pity the delivery guy couldn't take it upstairs (third floor!) as he said he wasn't insured and just left it in the hallway. It was quite heavy and it was a bit of a struggle for us. If this is a problem, John Lewis is probably the place to go as they put things where you want them.

Bought in 2015, it's a winner.
I bought the double size in 2015 for me and my partner's new home. 4 years later and it's still the best mattress I've ever slept on. It doesn't look as nice as it once did but it still sleeps all the same. If I ever had to replace it I'd buy another one of these.
