Orthopaedic Open Coil Spring, Happy Beds Supreme Ortho Firm Tension Mattress with Reflex Foam - 3ft Single (90 x 190 cm)

We bought this from Happy Beds direct, via Amazon, to save a few quid at the time. I think Amazon may have lowered their own prices since then, but it's always best to check. The mattress arrived quickly, was encased in thick polythene, and was undamaged in any way.The mattress doesn't bend like some modern ones, so this was a good sign. It is quite heavy, as you might expect for a good-quality mattress, but we two pensioners got it up the stairs without problems. The mattress was actually a cm or so larger than the dimensions given; this didn't bother us, but if your bed frame isn't adjustable, make sure you measure it first, and have a cm or so to spare both across the bed and top to toe. Mattresses can't be made to precision-engineering size standards, so you have to expect very slight variations in size.As regards the mattress itself, it has been very comfortable during the few months we have used it (we like firm mattresses), and our only problem is that we now tend to sleep longer than normal, if we don't bother to set the alarm! After several months use there are no depressions in the mattress, although we do tend to turn it every month or so. We haven't heard any springs groaning or making a noise either, this mattress is just silent and efficient.Although it's too early to say how it will wear over the years, the signs are good, the mattress is strong, and has fairly robust edges, and all in all has a high-quality feel to it. So far, we have been well pleased with this mattress; a good product at a very reasonable price.

A good quality firm mattress, value for money. Came well packaged, very quick delivery well within the time specified, delivery man from DX Freight was brilliant he brought them (2 ordered) up stairs and put them in the bedroom for me. Very polite gentleman. They are heavy mattress, I have not tried out the sleep quality yet as my bed frames have not arrived (different company for these). Once I sleep on them I will write another review.

We are reasonably pleased with this product. At first it was very firm but it has lost some of that firmness with age and use. I hope it doesn't lose anymore. It is comfortable and offers a measure of relief from backache we both suffer from. I would recommend it to others because it was at a reasonable price.

I brought this mattress in 2018 for my son who was at that time 11 years old and he still have it. He said mum I really like this mattress, it comfortable and I sleep really well.. I wanted a mattress that lasted long and I do not need to keep on buying different mattresses all the time.. when I have my family and friends around they use my son room to sleep.Yes I know it take me this long to write a review about this mattress..I brought an other one for myself this year 2021 because I have been having back pain sine this year on a waiting list for operation and to see what my son, family and friends are talking about. But I brought it from a different website...I will 💯 recommend this mattress for anyone to buy from this company.. the next thing I need to buy from this company is bedThis time I will not wait this long to write an review on the other website..

Very firm mattress with just a bit of give that made it perfect. Has helped keep a sore back at bay! Also I now rarely get disturbed by my partner through the night which was quite frequent with other mattresses in the past.

I orders this mattress about a month ago to get the firmest mattress possible. I in fact wrote to Happy Beds, sharing some links that I thought were possible options, and asked them to let me know which one would be the firmest.First of all, they were not very clear themselves, since I got contradictory replies from them (They did not seem to know their products well enough). Anyway, spoke to them and then finally zeroed in on this one, with assurances that this is the firmest mattress that they had.I received this mattress and it is NOT FIRM AT ALL. In fact, its just way too bouncy (Almost like a trampoline) and had made my back even worse, to an extent the doctor has suggested to replace it immediately.I wrote to them again, asking them to replace this with another one of Happy Beds, which I thought might work However, not only have they plainly refused to consider the request, they have very conveniently ignored the fact that this was bought as per their recommendation and I am willing to replace it with another Happy Bed mattress.They have just stated technicalities of not being able to return this within the stipulated 14 days period (Ignoring the fact again that I have used it only for the last 1 week, since I was travelling). What even more surprising is that their own description states that the mattress will come to its optimum performance in 30 days and one should wait till then.After having used it for 7 days now, it has already sagged in all places and is like a foam cushion now.Worst possible decision ever!

The best has a good feel to it. Quite firm but we would have preferred even firmer. We placed a mattress protector on top for comfort and protection

I found it very hard/ firm when I first laid on it. However, yesterday my back was killing me. Especially between my shoulder blades. When I woke up, to my complete shock my back was pain free & at 3pm it still is.I have Osteoporosis & arthritis in my spine. I’m really surprised how good it is.
