Sparco SPR15507-5-Compartment Tray Cash Box

I say "just about perfect" as there is one (and a half) simple things I'd change:The lid opens up to about 90 degrees. Opening the lid raises the "coin tray" up & out. However, the lid only goes vertical - meaning it does not take much to make it close (collapse) - honestly, a strong wind! If the lid opened up PAST vertical to like 120 degrees - it would be more solid and reliable.Second, the bill area is excellent. However, the clips that hold the bills down "max out" at less than 1/4 the height of the box area. Less than that, there is a small lip that some bills fit under. Let me try to explain:For each slot, (say, the $1's), I can fit about 30 bills under the small 1/4" back metal lip. Maybe 40. Then, I can fit more - but only about 60-70 total before the clip that holds them down starts to not be tight.This is less than 1/4 the height of the entire inside of the box! I don't want to be greedy, but it could hold 400 $1 bills before it started to encroach on the coin tray that descends into the area when the lid closes!OK OK OK OK -- for the price, $10 -- this is most definitely a 5-star!!!! However, if they could make it more dynamic, perhaps for just a few $$ more, it would be 5++ star!That said, this is what we need. We have 50x$1, 10x$5, 10x$10 and a bunch of change in it. This is the "seed money" and cash box for our garage sales and daughter's frequent lemonade stand (also includes extra Girl Scout cookies (we bought an extra 100), sodas, Red Vines, etc). During the summer, we will remove the "profits" after each use - the kids will enjoy counting their earnings. The goal is for this to be 100% "Kids Profits", so that they have the ability to make deals (3-for-2, etc) as they see fit - and, over the years, learn how to maintain a profit margin :)Still worth 5 stars for the excellent value.

I got this cash box in the mail a couple of days ago, the box is fine and fits the needs of exactly what i need it for.My only complain is the metal box came somewhat dented not enough for me to mind it but it is notable. The Lock works fine and it came with 1 spare key as well. The box is decently sized and can fit in drawers.I just use mine mostly to keep some of money as I just wanted to keep it organized. The only problem i would complain about this cash box is the clips that hold the money. Its not really the clips that are the actual problem but the metal part in the bottom that makes them go up and down. The metal part that gives the clips movement might actually tear part of the money if the cash is inserted deep inside.Since i only use it to store my money and not really flicking the clip up and down constantly then its not a problem for me but i can possibly see it a problem for people that may use to for their stores where they constantly remove cash from the clips.To avoid the money from getting damaged from the steel part that holds the clips i just simply put some small piece of electrical tape there.

The media could not be loaded.  I needed this box quickly, and was disappointed that when it arrived, it wouldn't even open! Completely unusable. There was no visible damage to the packaging, so it seems to be a production issue. Several other units for sale on Amazon mention metal not being lined up correctly, but not the case with this one. I'll update this review after I have received another one...I'm hopeful that they will resolve the issue.UPDATE: For some reason, they'll take the box back, but wouldn't send another one automatically! So I guess in a few days they'll refund my account, and I can order another one. Amazon's return process is amazingly smooth...print the paperwork, include it in the box, and check the box to have a cute UPS dude show up at my front door to pick up the box. Nice! I'll give Amazon 5 stars on this one, but not sure why getting a cash box that works is so difficult...NEW UPDATE: Cash box arrived after I ordered again. It works fine. The bill holders don't automatically engage when the lid is closed, so you have to remember to push them down before closing the lid. Otherwise, works fine!

I ordered 3 of these bins at the same time and received all three in the same shipment, all three are identical. They each open without a problem (there is a lock on each and one of the locks was engaged so it not opening doesn't mean it's defective). The lock itself is rather generic, but surprisingly enough the keys are just that much different that they won't fit in each other's locks, granted don't buy this unit for security.The boxes open and close without any defects, as you open, the change tray is level and moves up with the lid. When closing, the change tray stays level and the lid acts as a cover to the change tray when closed. The lid stays up 90 degrees (max angle) from the box without assistance, added weight in the change tray does not force the lid closed.Each box has a handle on the lid, I had to wrench grip one of the latches to tighten it in the lid to ensure it won't unhinge during carrying.Each box is the same color, gray.So far, no defective portions from manufacturing. I am incredibly pleased with this purchase and will definitely purchase more in the future. Keep in mind; this is not an item that should tamper proof, because it's not. As for the price, it's made of lighter less durable materials hence cheaper cost; great for periodic uses.

It’s larger than I thought it would be, but it it is perfect for any kind of function, such as a fundraiser or a garage sale, etc. I love how it has flaps for holding down paper money and the cantilever coin holder is helpful. I’m sure if it got shaken up or bounced around, the coins would be everywhere inside, though. Small price to pay for a really great deal

Was hoping to receive a the box without the money clips in the bottom and a proper key to lock the box. I received the box with a cheaply made latch and the money clips in the bottom. Also the measurements of the box are different then the description. The box I received is slightly larger. The posting should be updated and the first photo removed as it is very misleading.

Très pratique. Pas besoin de retirer le plateau du haut commme la plupart des petite-caisses.En plus, les billets tiennent bien. Tout ça pour moins cher que les modèles standard!

The box was broken and it was made of weak material.I was very disappointed, I was looking for the feature of coin holder.
