GREAT Wifi. Using as An Access-Point
Ok, first, I HIGHLY recommend this device. In general, I'm a fan of Asus wifi routers. I have several throughout my home. I have two RT-AC66R units that are AC1750 devices. Recently, I wanted to replace a TP Link wireless router I used in my den because, unlike my Asus units, the TP link has NO native access-point capabilities. YES, you can plug your network cable into one of the switch jacks instead of the WAN jack, but the TP link was extremely "buggy". Anyway, I digress. I purchased one of these RT-AC1200G units. I tested it using Speedtest app, and to my surprise, this unit put out the best numbers- out of all my wireless routers on my network. It beat both of the older AC1750 devices, despite only being "rated" as AC1200... EXTREMELY happy. I quickly bought another unit. I don't know if it is just newer faster chips? Not sure, but I can tell you these units are fast and for the price they cannot be beat...

Works Great.
The ASUS brand came recommended by friends. New to setting up a router online (without a CD), but it went fine. As soon as I plugged in to the rtr I had a pop-up offering to help, which ended up really being a guy from another country offering to "fix" my PC for $99.95. No thanks and I could have done without that spam and waste of time. The unit is fast and puts out a strong signal through our 1500 sq. ft. home and outside too. Very happy with it.

Great upgrade for a great price.
Our old router was starting to have connection issues and was a couple years old. We have it in the basement and needed to put an extender upstairs to boost the signal there. After getting this, we don’t really need the booster anymore and our speeds are back where they should be.

Much Improved WiFi Speed / Easy Install
Easy to Install - Much better Interface than my Older Linksys - WiFi speed increased form 50 to 100 MBPS due to the 5 GHZ ac Mode. MANY options to improve WiFi Security - Didn't need any Tech Support
