This clock does it's main job well. It is easy to set up, and quick to set the alarm. (It amazes me how many alarm clocks fail at these tasks.)I really like that the clock has 3 light settings for the display. Bright, Dim, and Off. Some nights the clock displays are irritating and this is MUCH easier to fix by hitting a button, instead of having to turn the clock toward the wall or set it face down etc.The light function during waking up is quite pleasant and works well for kids. We tried it out with my daughter who is 4 so she knows that when it is bright, she can come into our room in the morning. (Being able to pick the color pleased her quite a bit too.)The radio is the one issue on this clock, you can't tune the radio, it automatically scans the FM band and then Programs them in. It identified 39 stations, of which 60% were static.

Hit or miss if it goes off every morning. Sometimes just the light comes on but no sound. Sometimes it doesn't go off at all. You will need a back up alarm to use with this one. I bought 3 and this happens with all 3.

The fact that this product has so many five star reviews makes me seriously question the validity of Amazon reviews. What I liked about it: the light that comes on before the alarm and battery backup. That's the beginning and end of what I like about this product. What I dislike: It's not intuitive in the least. I had it for several nights and had to refer back to the instructions every time to change the time on the alarm. There is no way to set the alarm to go off every day or on certain days...you essentially have to re-program it every night: not just turn on the alarm feature, but also which of the seven tones you want to be your alarm sound. Otherwise it will default to the first of the seven alarm sounds. The buttons on the face, which are used for setting the time and alarm, are difficult to control and sometimes unresponsive. The previous list are things that I think make the product poor quality. There are other things about it that may not indicate poor quality, but that I don't like personally -- such as the fact that if you want to use the radio feature to wake up, it automatically shuts off after a few minutes -- so if you want to continue to listen, you either have to manually shut it off when the "alarm" goes off then turn it back on or you have to walk back to it when it shuts off and turn it on again. Ultimately this product is just very poor design in terms of user interface. I am returning it and taking it as lessons in "You Get What You Pay For" and "Amazon Reviews Are Often Bogus".

Hmmmm. As someone else has written, I'm surprised by all the five-star reviews. I still love the circle design of this clock and think it looks great. However, it's very hard to program and has way too many buttons and possibilities. There's nothing familiar or intuitive about setting the alarm time nor sound nor volume. I don't know if I've gotten a faulty clock or what, but it's very hard to get the "sunlight" color to go on in the morning, and the colors that go on at random are quite amusing––unless you're trying to sleep. One night I took a video of its changes to send to a friend so we both could giggle. I was just settling in to sleep. All I'd done was to turn down the light strength of the digital time read-out so it was dim and I could sleep better. After about five minutes in bed with the light off and heading into sleep, all of a sudden a bright green light went on in the circle around the clock, and then it started to cycle through purple, pink, green, maybe blue? What the?? I tried pushing some buttons designed to change or steady the colors (I usually go to sleep to a simple beige), but no luck. I finally unplugged it. Three stars for the style of the clock; one star for non-ease of programming; and zero stars because it's nutty how it starts circling through colors all on its own, maybe five to ten minutes after anyone has even touched the clock.

My son loves it.The light is extremely bright, even at its lowest setting.

This is a beautiful clock with pretty terrible alarm capabilities. I set my alarm for 5:15am with the radio setting and have to remember to manually turn it off on the weekends because there is no setting for specific days. If it's having a good day, the light starts "warming" up 30 minutes before the alarm time and wakes me up a few minutes before 5:15am - success! If it's NOT having a good day, e.g. yesterday, it will start its warm up at 5:15am and not go off until 30 minutes AFTER my alarm was supposed to go off. The only way that I can make sure it goes off at the right time is by turning the alarm off and on again the night before, which is ridiculous. As a concept, the light + alarm really works for me. This product, however, is faulty at best.

I like the idea, but I have some problems with this clock and will return it.1. Cord is 4ft and couldn't reach the plug anywhere in my room. Unless you want to place this on your bedside table and have an outlet available, don't buy this2. The "natural sounds" are VERY un-natural. the bird call is a tinny, electronic bird sound which loops the same 3 second sound over & over.

UPDATE: The store has contacted me multiple times since returning the product, offering me a free gift in addition to a full refund. They are trying to keep customers satisfied which I can respect. Means you can try the product with no risk.After doing some research and reading reviews, we decided to make the switch from a traditional alarm clock (playing music) and try this wake up light. Based on mostly-positive reviews and the price point, we thought we would give it a try.The experiment lasted 2 days before I packed it back up and shipped it off for a refund. The light is so unnatural it in no way resembles a sunrise. It's very bright, even at the lowest settings, and is more irritating than calming. The 'nature sounds' are clearly fake and on a very short loop.After returning this product, we splurged for the consensus top-rated wake up light and absolutely love it. It's not even in the same class. I recommend you spend the extra money, if you can, and invest in a quality product. This one, despite a number of positive reviews, is not.

This lights look really good and futuristic compare to my LED clock from 2009. I really love the light feature surrounding the time and the sunset modes, It’s the mode where the light simulate the sunset. With all the natural sound with the light makes it even better. The clock has so many features and modes that I don’t think I could list them all. But some of them are the FM radio that I found really old now, since everyone uses youtube and google. I also find it so hard to find a channel that actually works, but that’s not a big deal since I only care about the look of the clock and whether it tells time or not. I found it very easy to set the time and the alarms.I really like the design of the clock.

I love this alarm clock! It is easy to set up and food exactly what you want: a calm, eventual wake up with the light (it brightens gradually), then when it's time to actually wake up, the alarm portion goes off. You can choose from 6 different tones and you can add a radio station. I like tone 2, the birds-- they're very calm and don't shock me awake. You can choose from a bunch of colours for your light-- I chose the regular colour because it's the most natural-- but I was surprised at how many colours there were and how vibrant they are! You could buy a clock similar to this for $100, $150 in the store. This is one of the best purchases I've made in a long time!

I bought this in December when it’s dark almost until 8am where I live. I have found that having the light come on 30 minutes before the alarm is really helping me wake up better. The sound is very good with multiple options. The light has different colours and intensity. I had a bit of trouble setting the time at first, but I’ll attribute that to my own issues. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now and I’m super happy with it. It was a really good price and I’m very happy with it.

Easy to use, product exactly as seller described and the sunrise wake up is genuinely effective which actually surprised me. The only negative aspects would be that the pressure points on the touch screen buttons aren't sensitive enough so it can take a number of tries to get a response and the radio scans and saves ALL nearby frequencies so you have to scroll through all of them to get to what you want. Other than those minor things I am very happy with the product and glad I purchased it.
