Blaupunkt Garden Tools BV4000 Electric Leaf Blower and Vacuum - High Power 3000W AC Motor and Mulcher Function

This is not the cheapest garden vac/blower at more than £60, but it received good if not glowing reviews (nothing else did either) and I assume it would be good quality being Blaupunkt.It arrived a day later than expected but not a problem and was easy to assemble; but a cross-head/phillips screwdriver is required.It's neither light nor heavy and it does have the little wheels to take the strain and an adjustable neck strap.In use it doesn't seem to be as powerful as the £30 Aldi vac I bought a few years ago (now sadly eaten by mice); it's not bad, but not wonderful.It's fairly quiet and the bag is easy to remove, albeit a bit small and it will block if the bag isn't emptied when getting full.Overall it is probably a 3.5 star but only whole stars are possible and it's better than a 3, so a slightly generous 4 out of 5 is given.

If the leaves are perfectly dry and not too large then the machine will suck them up. Damp and large and the inlet gets blocked. I no longer think of mine as a vacuum only as a blower - but that's not the reason I bought it

OK so the first one I got only ran for a few minutes before the on/off switch failed BUT thanks to Dave at Blaupunkt a replacement was shipped immediately and delivered the next day. Faulty machine picked up and returned at no cost to me of course. The new machine works perfectly and does what it is supposed to do. Can't compare with other makes but this product is very good value for money and the customer service is both personal and of a very high standard. But for the original blip would be giving a full five stars.

The end of the hose is not that big and wide how it looks like on the photo. it is straight, and not widening at the end. Underneath the main tube there is a smaller tube, what blows the air at the same time when you are vacuuming through the big tube. It is very annoying, cause it can blow the leaves out from the way.It is a little bit hard and and tricky to click the bag back onto the machine.I have used it for many days now, tested well.Powerful for sure, and very light - that is why I gave 2 stars.

It is powerful, and light to handle. The assembly instructions were feeble (which screw is used to connect the top of the blow pipe?- no hint!).I am also concerned that unlike my old B&Q blower (which lasted me 23 years of regular use), there is no obvious way of getting close to the fan for when it blocks up with soil. It is no good Blaupunkt saying 'Don't suck soil up' because it is bound to happen.

I have purchased this as a christmas present so it hasnt been used yet. I can say that it came in a smallish neat box and not a big long bulky box so there will be no chance at guessing what it is. I have opened it and every part is wrapped in clear plastic......no more trying to prise a block of polystyrene out of the box. Everything looks to be ok so hoping to get a positive response from recipient so I can update in the New Year. Just to add arrived earlier than expected.

Picks up leaves no problem, anything bigger it struggles with (like stones or chippings), but I do recommend it for leaves and it works well on my fake grass. Recommended.

The product arrived ahead of time. It is very easy to put together. It works like a good dream. Its motor is very strong and I have cleared the garden of leaves in next to no time. Thoroughly recommend this product and seller (who has been attentive to the purchase and delivery). Only thing to add is that I would have liked the product to have had a longer electrical cord. However, this can be remedied through using an extension flex.
