Excellent quality Varta starter battery fitted to my AutoTrail Tracker motorhome, registered 2008, which has a 2.3 130bhp Fiat Ducato engine. Next day delivery (without tracking information) from the Battery Megastore, through Amazon, at a great price (£85.95 at the time of this review - delivery free).If fitting to a Ducato - the model with the battery situated inside the cab in a well on the passenger side - it may be necessary, as I did, to put some packing under the central battery clamp, as the battery profile is slightly different to the original Fiamm one fitted at the factory.An integral carrying handle is fitted to the unit.The battery arrived securely packaged and protected. The Battery Megastore emailed me a separate invoice with instructions as to the procedure if the packaging and/or battery was damaged (they were not!). The invoice is also the warranty (5 years).Recommended supplier and item.

Varta is always a reputable brand which I'm correct again this time as my car was with another big brand battery but run out although it's fully charged a week ago. I ordered this Varta battery and it's delivered to me next day which helped me to have the car back to service without too much frustration. I like the power of the battery as my car is 35 years old, of course with good maintenance. I just start the car in 1 second which I don't always have same experience with other brands. Even I travel for 3 weeks with the car resting, I can still start the car in seconds. I like the performance particularly under the situation of bad traffic in London with stop and go all the time with air-con on. I'm gald I made the right choice this time.

I have previous experience of this manufacturer and I anticipate equal utility. The absence of retractable handles to aid lifting into and out of car fixing is a distinct disadvantage.
