Fisual Pro Install Series Digital Optical Cable (2 Metre)

The problem with optical connections is that they are very badly designed. Both sockets & plugs are very loose fitting and wobble about with the result of signal loss.Most sockets have a tiny hinged plastic door that is supposed to hold the connector firmly but totally fails.I have several optical connectors and each one has had to be held in with gaffer tape.This Fisual 1m Install Series Digital Optical Cable is no different yet it isn't the manufactures fault - it the design of the system.Be wary - if your not used to these connectors make sure NOT to break of the little plastic door on the socket - it's designed to fold inwards and supposedly keep the connector firmly in place. It doesn't but without the door the connector will fall out.

Brought it for my DVD player to connect with our sound system. Needless to say there has been a difference between the old SCART lead and this optical cable. I also tried with my PS3 in case I wanted to use other devices on the HDMI cable and I could not spot a difference in Quality of sound.This cable does the job and useful when you have a device with optical output but no HDMI. Forgot to mention I have this cable for more than 2 year now. And I wanted to wait before I write a review. So after more 2 years the cable it still working and there is not problem with the quality of sound even after I accidentally dropped the DVD player while moving the stand with the wire attached to it.

I can't believe I was almost persuaded by the Comet salesperson to part with £40 for one of these.The cable works perfectly and fits the sockets comfortably on my Samsung TV and home cinema system. Because my TV has an optical cable connection I don't need more than one but, if you do, then you need these - unless you're so wealthy you don't care how much you add to chain retailers' profits!The one metre cable was ample for my needs but there are longer ones. I really don't get why some reviewers complain that the cable is a tad short. Which bit of "1m" is difficult to understand?An excellent product delivered at top speed (under 36 hours from ordering).

My order arrived promptly and performs perfectly in my Multi-Channel Sony Surround sound system. The Fisual DIGITAL OPTICAL 5 metre Toslink cable routes DOLBY encoded multichannel audio.It is plugged into a VIRGIN CABLE TV V+BOX rear Toslink socket to the SONY STR-DG820 Toslink optical input sosket 4 metres or so away down the side of our lounge with lovely decoded surround sound eminating from all my surround sound speakers.A true bargain,so "WHY PAY MORE". I am using this cable to connect my old Playstation 2 (no HDMI output) to my Reciever System. This cable has nice looking connectors and gold plated plugs (which aren't really necasarry for a Optical Cable). Sound quality is good and this isn't one of those cables that can snap like other Optical Cables. Be sure to remove the plastic bulbs off the ends of the cables before use otherwise you won't get any sound. If you are looking for a 1m Optical, BUY THIS. You won't be dissapointed.

Was most surprised that this Optical cable was not provided with the LINDY, DAC Stereo - Analogue converter instead of having to purchase it separately. Unfortunately both ends of this particular lead are extremely loose and tend to fall out, so I had to revert to using some sticky tape to hold them in place. Apart from that everything works well. and as such I am quite pleased with it.

As stated by another reviewer, don't let the price put you off. This is a well constructed cable that you might expect to pay much more for. It works well, does just what it should, looks good, is well made, and it's cheap. What more can you ask for?Delivery was extremely fast - so you get quality and good service without the ridiculous outlay that many cable manufacturers expect. I'd recommend Fisual cables to anyone, and next time I need a cable I'll be looking here first!
