May not fit all digital input on TV/Hifi/Home Cinema
Purchased this as thinking of getting new 4K TV & needed longer cable. To link all my kit up.Oddly the didital input on my kit which looked like a standard phono plug turned out to be co axial. So fitted but did not fully connect. ( optical cables are connected by light)

Does not work on my Mac Mini 2018
Mac Mini 2018 will not produce a sound from these. I have preformed all config and researched extensively.also tested on m Mac BookPro 2015, 2013 and same issue.Avoid if you have any of the above kit.Shame really.

Seems good quality but it was defective for me
Material quality was amazing! Thought for the money it looks and feels a good quality product!Tried on 2 sound bars and it was intermittent on 1 and nothing on the other.Could just of been a 1 off but I would not buy again from this make

Audio cutting out, nearly damaged laptop socket.
Terrible fit in my SPDIF output on my laptop. Audio kept cutting out, and on one occasion when removing cable it pulled out part of my laptop audio socket. Replaced with slightly more expensive QED Toslink cable and have had no further issues with audio from laptop.

Brilliant for its intended purpose.
Please ignore the poor reviews from customers who believe this is some kind of miracle cable, with an analog headphone jack at one end and a digital TOSLINK at the other! This cable is ideal for its intended purpose - carrying a DIGITAL audio signal.I use it to connect my Mac Mini to an external DAC (and ultimately my Hi-Fi), for a much-improved audio quality. The cable is well constructed and I'm not able to discern any audible difference between it and the £50 QED cable that it replaced (I needed a longer cable after buying a new desk). If it's the cable that you need (do your research first), it's fantastic.

This did not fit the headphone jack in my MacBook or any other headphone jack i tried. I can only assume I bought the wrong cable???

Interesting Stuff
After months of experimenting with the sound of my system :Asus Xonar essence stx with Bryson Op AmpsAudiolab 6000a2 X Tibo PA150 Rubycon RecapWharfedale Diamond 240'sI never felt totally satisfied with the sound, I couldn't quite put a finger on it but it just failed to satisfy no matter what I seemed to do. I tried just about everything, speaker placement, different media centres on my computer, different types of files, finally arriving at the best for me being the Flac type files. I went totally back to basics using RCA Interconnects between xonar and audiolab and still not totally satisfied I invested in a good quality 75ohm digital coax. I had done my homework on the internet and this seemed to be the most popular choice. For me it was no better than the RCA Interconnects, nor no worse, maybe just a little more detailed but not as weighty. In desperation I purchased this mini toslink to toslin optical and I honestly didnt expect any improvement. I was wrong, This by far is the best way to connect a digital stereo output to a digital stereo input , in my opinion. I arent saying its the best way for dolby digital, dts, home cinema set ups, I cant comment on that.
