Q: How long does it usually take for the water to clear ?

Regardless of the filter it take ages to clear, first time I added it was like a snow storm. These reviews 10 mins must only be adding very little.

This product actually increases the KH level in the tank but KH is related to PH as well? So, if your kH levels are too low, all the H+ your fish discharge due to metabolic processes can build up and crash your pH. Adequate kH levels will keep your pH consistent throughout the day, regardless of what your fish and filters are doing. Knowing your tanks kH is an essential component to any fish keeper’s database. Q: Will this help with brown algae, please?

Brown algae is a build up of nitrates/nitrites in the water which promote growth. If you want to get rid of brown algae you must clean whenever build up starts, do regular water changes, keep tank away from sources of light /heat. Lastly do not overfeed your fish. Any left over food is absorbed by the light to promote algae growth, which suffocates the tank of oxygen. CrystalClear & API Prevent Algae are 2 brands you can use specifically for algae growth prevention. Hope this helps

You need to condition the water with this product before adding it your aquarium when doing a water change or at the initial setup. You need to lower the ph and hardness gradually or you can kill the fish in an existing set up. I hope this helps
