For light storage needs
The shelves arrived quickly and in good shape. Once you read the visual instructions a couple of times it makes sense regarding assembly. A rubber mallet or light hammer is helpful to tap down the connections once the bars are in place. The shelf boards themselves are paper thin and definitely not built for longevity. As long as you're storing these in a dry location they might last you but I would not recommend them whatsoever for basement storage. Overall I think they're just ok. I will be looking for something sturdier in the future.

great shelf, don't abuse it
This is a great shelf and you get a great value for money. A lot of people are commenting about it being so sharp. USE A RUBBER MALLET. Also grab the top of the shelf panels to put them in place, not the bottom. I have not had any issues putting this shelf together at all. Take your time and do not rush. I have assembled 10 of these already for my eB(a)y merchandise warehouse. Leave them in place, do not move them fully loaded, you will be fine. they do the job they are supposed to do. cheap storage.

You get what you pay for.
Looks decent, assembly is straightforward, and we use it to hold shoes and shoe boxes. I will be shocked to know that this shelf can actually hold a total weight of 1,800 lb like it suggests. The actual shelving boards are thin particle wood in the middle frame is a flimsy metal. If you're willing to spend at least $100 you can buy an actual solid metal shelf elsewhere but obviously I wanted to go cheap. This product serves its purpose.

A good overall storage solution...
I have bought 4 of these so far. Not the easiest to put together, but worth the money for me. The first 2 had connectors, that aren't nearly as good as the last 2. That said it was quite a bit more difficult to put them together. There is a main connector between the upper and lower sections. Those connections on the first to do not hold the upper pieces tightly to the lower ones. They just kind of drop in, so if picking them up, do so by the lower section, or they come apart. No such problem with the newer 2.

They are shelves.
ok so this is 100% you get what you pay for. Not super sturdy but seem stable. metal is fairly thin but seems secure. shelves are super thin so I question if they really will support the amount of weight stated in listing. directions for assembly seem to be for a different model of shelving. I don't know that I would try putting 300lbs of weight on each shelf...but I do feel they are useful for the 50 to 100lbs of weight I need them for. Bottom line if you need them for more than 100lbs of weight use them at your own risk. But for less very usefull.

Lower end shelving that will do the trick - Honest review
I wanted to clear up about a few things here. Look at the picture that is advertised. For me we purchased the Black, 35.5 x 16 x 71 Inch and it does look like the picture displayed. However some reviewers posted pics of some previous shelving that uses different latching capability. What im saying is look closely at the product picture not the reviewer pictures. On to the review. Just 4 years ago you could get the heavy duty shelving (not this one) for the same price, but now with inflation we want the same price but we are getting lower quality products. So how does this unit hold up?There is no doubt the metal is thin, but like anything if you have enough of it in the right place it will hold. Assembly was not great but not terrible. What i mean is the directions are weak and if you think you can use the pictures in the instructions to count notch spaces to create equally spaced shelving you will be mistaken. So measure out where you want your shelves beforehand and mark them. Always use a rubber mallet and only hit on the ends not the middle (you can thank me later). Lining up the little metal grooves and tapping them in was mixed results. Some went in ok, others went in and one pin would stick out (not a show stopper just a result of cheaper quality), and no im not a novice as I have built about 15 of these type of shelves. The plywood shelves are THIN, over the years they have gotten thinner and I will say this is as thin as I have ever seen them. However they will work, it is just a weight issue. On a good note, all of the pieces were there. Free standing the unit is a light weight shelving system. It says each shelf is rated for over 350ish pounds; Um NO. I would not try that weight. To do that it would have to be exactly distributed over the shelf with additional support like in a bin. I would say throwing 150ish pounds on there is no problem. Get some 12 gallon bins and throw them in there, you will be happy. Bottom line is if you need light weight shelving then this is fine. If you need to put on real weight like offset 200+ pounds you should pass on this and get heavy duty shelving. All in all this is for a bunch of 12 gallon bins for the basement filled with clothes, small products and the unit hold just fine.

Cheap, but sturdy
I’m amazed at how cheaply things can be made these days. That being said, I loaded mine up and it’s holding everything with no issue. They included gloves with the shelves and I would strongly suggest wearing them during assembly. The aluminum is paper thin and it will slice you.Again, though, despite it being super cheap quality, the unit as a whole can hold a good bit. It’s also a little warped, so don’t be shocked when you see that. Not bad for the price.

Sturdy Shelving Unit
These shelving unit is very sturdy but took 2 of us 3 hrs to build. You need gloves and some of the holes did not match up where you install the screws. A rubber mallot is a great help. The instruction paper was NOT easy to read but we managed. It works great for shelving in the garage.

Perfect for my needs.
I bought this to hold a few computers and a couple of other devices, I needed something that had adjustable shelves and wasn't to big. This was perfect and the shelves are very sturdy and have no issues holding hundreds of pounds of weight.

Fairly flimsy
These shelves are not as sturdy as the picture would lead you to believe. Over all not bad but not super sturdy or large.Always check measurements is something I'm definitely learning while online shopping :)

Great shelving.
I love this item. I bought two of them cause I had small areas that I need shelving. They are perfect cause you can set the shelves where you wanted them.
