Nature's Miracle Advanced Platinum Cat Scratch Deterrent Spray, 8 Ounces, Discourages Destructive Scratching

This works! We have a cat that we sometimes refer to as Mr. Nervous Guy, and when he gets anxious he treats the carpet as a scratching post. So when I bought this I didn’t really have my hopes up because it sounded too good to be true but it works! It sort of smells like menthol (like a cough drop). It’s not a bad smell, but it is a strong smell. To my nose it lasts a day and then I don’t smell it, but I think my cats smell it longer. You do need to reapply maybe every two weeks but it’s not like it’s hard to do that.

This product did not even begin to keep my cat off my bed. The sole reason I bought it was to keep her off my brand new bed and even with me drenching the entire mattress and sheets and pillows and pillow cases in this product, she STILL was back on my bed… if your goal is to try to deter them by using this product, don’t waste your time or money because it will not deliver. I have a fixed female cat for reference 6 years old. It smells good… just didn’t do what i was hoping it would

I sprayed my armchair. The cat walks by, takes a wiff, then walks over to his scratch post and scratches the hell out of it. LOL. Hour 1 = success!Cat reaction update on 9/14/25. The cat stopped scratching for less than 24 hours. I have to apply this product every other day, unfortunately. My cat is a special case though. I've never had one this destructive!!!The inside of the shipping envelope was wet. Spray bottle was not properly sealed for transport.The liquid is not sticky. I applied it to a dark brown chair and there is no residue. The chair smells like rosemary, cornmint and citronella oils now. Got some on my hand and my skin is not irritated.

My female cat is a rescue so I’m not sure of her exact age but she’s definitely an old lady who loves to destroy things like my furniture. I recently remodeled my house and purchased all new furniture and I was not about to let her destroy any of it. This stuff works miracles, even on an old lady like Fiona Louise! I spray it everywhere daily before I leave for work and I leave the bottle out where she can see it and she has yet to even get near any of my new furniture. It’s gotten to where I just show her the bottle and she scurries away. I do provide scratching posts and cat nip as a distraction which I’m sure helps but I do think this stuff is the main reason she’s no longer scratching on my furniture. It also seems to have stopped my male dogs from lifting a leg in my house as well. It is safe to use on furniture and high end floors. The fragrance is potent but that’s the point to this spray anyway. I highly recommend this stuff!

I just got new furniture and my cats were on it like a magnet. I have the kitty covers all across but some corners are not covered fully. My ottoman covers are not full coverage either, especially on the corners where the lid is and they have got to it. I sprayed this on (and it has a pretty potent smell if you use too much) and so far they have not touched it. I have had this about a week now and it is working like a charm. My only complaint is the smell affects humans too, reminds me of citronella. It is made with essential oils and it did not effect the coloring or fabric of my couch or ottoman when used.

I have the world’s scratchiest cat. Love her to death but she and I moved in with my partner and kitty went about destroying the fabric dining room chairs and my partner’s favorite living room chair. Can’t believe it took me months to think of looking for a spray. I sprayed all the scratched surfaces (does smell nice and the smell fades quickly) and the result was instant—no more scratching AT ALL (though she still sits on the chairs, which is good). After 10 days I saw her scratch once, so sprayed everything again. I think the bottle will last for months at this rate—a good deal for 8 bucks. I get that it doesn’t work for all cats, which is a bummer. Definitely thought it wouldn’t work for us, but it seems we got lucky. Wish they made a spray for begging at the dinner table like a damn dog ;-)

I wanted this to be the answer to saving my furniture. It smells amazing and felt like a classy way to say “please stop destroying my dining chairs.” But unfortunately, my kitten did not care at all.I sprayed it generously on my upholstered chairs and bed frame, but he scratched away like it wasn’t even there. Zero deterrent. If anything, it might’ve just made his scratching experience more spa-like.Two stars because it smells nice and didn’t stain anything, but sadly it didn’t do what I needed it to. Still searching for something that actually makes a dent in my little guy’s chaos.

Literally a miracle worker. My cats have stopped scratching at my roommates door trying to get in and scratching up the carpet.
