Hydraulic 12 Ton H-Frame Garage Floor Adjustable Shop Press

bought this to press out some control arm bushings, should have probably got the 12 ton instead. bushings were within its operating capabilities and turned out fine but it struggled with lower ball joints. pressing out, there was a bit of a violent pop that ejected the jack completely from the frame, catching me off guard and only narrowly avoiding injury. pressing ball joints in however, was a more fiddly matter. it was unable to provide enough pressure to force the new ball joints straight in on center, the overload bypass works. i was able to overcome this by working the edges in a circle pressing a little at a time until about 90% in then returning to center to finish it out, at near max output of the press it was able to make the last bit in a violent pop to seat the ball joints. the orange paint is not a permanent coating to protect the press, it is merely there to indicate if you have used it at all as it flakes off on contact with anything. the 2 pieces of black plate it comes with are very convenient that they are included however will bend permanently well before the 6t max is ever reached, i suggest getting thicker plates if you plan to use this regularly. actually, i suggest getting a 12t unit if you plan to use this at anything close to it's limit. idk what the parts are all called so i'm going to go with deck height adjustment pins. those are fine, the holes in the frame that accept the pins though, not particularly skookum, all wallowed out already. hell, the deck has a good sag to it too now. so while it seems to be engineered to survive the forces of the 6t jack it's built around, i can honestly say it only just barely does that. this is at best hobby quality, for home light duty use, dont count on it lasting a week in a commercial workshop and is priced accordingly. do not attempt to put any larger jack in this frame, it may just kill you and if you want it to last forever it might be better suited to maybe a 3t jack. so while my results were sub optimal, i know i was asking too much of this tool and my experience with it is my fault. except the paint, the paint could be much better. so weighing all things here, i'm giving this 5 stars overall not because its a great press, it isnt, but because it is exactly the $97 worth of press i paid for and it did what i asked of it when i should have bought $167 worth of press.

Well made, works great. Two pieces needed new holes for assembly. After the new holes were drilled, assembly went fine. The hydraulic bottle is rated at 6 tons, not sure if the entire assembly is good for 6 tons. I used it for broaching a square hole in aluminum which worked great. The unit can be adjusted for several heights.

Garbage, unsafe and cheap. Jack was not working out the box because rubber bung was torn off and not holding a seal. Unit was completely scratched I. Factory box . First try out the box pressing a new wheel bearing onto a new axel rated at 6ton press. This thing buckled and projectiled the press plates into my shop floor. Now they want me to package it back up and send it back for a refund. What a joke do not risk this is unsafe and how you lose digits.

Great price for a great product. I bought this as a gift for my Son-in-law. He loves it no more swinging a mallet to pop out hub bearings.

Bought this for a re-gear job to press and remove bearings. It worked well with removal but terrible with carrier bearing installation. It bent the arbor plates trying to press a carrier bearing. The frame also is unsteady when pressing. It was a great deal and helped me out a little. But it definitely didn't make a difference in making my project any easier

It did its job as a hydraulic press. It was fairly easy to assemble. No complaints here.

Pressed a bearing today and the c channels where I rested the knuckle are bending. I’m going to reach out to the company. Also, there aren’t enough adjustment holes or at least the holes should be all shifted higher a half step as I find myself working at the limit of the jack or the next hole, it’s too close. The vendor has been in touch and has pledged to make it right, so I’ve bumped up the stars to 3. Maybe I got a bad batch of c channels? Hoping the vendor sends stronger new ones and I’ll update this review when they arrive and I’ve tested them. Updated to 5 stars. VEVOR went over and beyond to provide new c channels. I’m extremely satisfied. I’ve since ordered more items from this company confident in their support after the purchase. Replaced another bearing with ease.

J'ai acheté cette presse pour changer les roulements arrière sur ma Clio 2 et, franchement, pour le tarif, c'est tout à fait correct. Ce n'est pas du matériel de garage pro, mais la qualité globale est plutôt satisfaisante pour un usage occasionnel. Le secret avec ce petit modèle de 6 tonnes, c'est de prendre bien son temps. Il ne faut pas essayer de forcer comme un bourrin dès le début ; en pompant tranquillement et en laissant la pression agir, ça finit par venir tout seul au bout d'un moment. Au final, ça m'a permis de faire le changement des roulements moi-même pour un moindre coût. Si vous cherchez un outil pour bricoler sans vous ruiner, elle fait largement le boulot.

easy to put together

Solid piece of kit at a good price. Bought to push out suspension bushes and does the job well. I had issues in the initial delivery but Amazon's customer service was excellent and the problems were resolved within a couple of days.
