Impressive 360 Camera
Purchased this camera (my first 360) for a recent trip to Disney. Was initially leaning towards the Rylo but decided on the Insta360 One after reading numerous reviews. It's even better that it's so much cheaper!Overall I was very happy with how the camera performed and I would recommend it. The footage from various roller coasters is fantastic.PROS: Easy to hold and use. I purchased a small tripod but the included case grips the unit well enough (for hand-held use). Activation is simple (one click for photos; two for video). Footage is solid and editing software is relatively easy to use. The stabilization is INCREDIBLE. Great resolution.CONS: I liked the small form factor but really would have appreciated a screen. A quick way to check that I got a shot would be very helpful. There's a single button that turns the unit on, turns it off, takes a picture, starts video recording, and ends video recording. It is WAY too easy to push that button. Regularly turned the unit on started shooting inadvertently. I wish the included cover went over that button to prevent accidental pushes. I guess some people might want the button readily available. I suggest making one side of the cover longer so the user can choose if they want the button covered or not. Battery life wasn't as good as I expected especially for a unit with no screen. Low light photography not as solid.Overall, very happy with the purchase. Didn't use bullet time (no good reason to). Also didn't get to see how well the unit erased selfie sticks (as Disney doesn't allow them) but I'm looking forward to trying that on my bike. Will update once I try more features.

Very easy to use and has a great picture. Will not work with iPhone X’s max.
I'm really enjoying this 360 camera for filming while riding my Onewheel and filming the kids run around. I haven't really dove into the computer software to edit yet but the iphone app works well. I do have an old iphone 6 so I think it causes the processing to go slower than normal but hopefully I'll be getting the next new iphone soon so should go faster and smoother. I bought the Sandisk Extreme Pro 64gb micro memory card https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XYT37NK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 thinking it should be plenty fast to keep up. The camera froze on me one time at the zoo. It would not record anymore or turn off. It seemed to get hotter and hotter so I just let it sit out hoping it would cool down and run out of battery. After I got home I noticed that it did end up shutting off. When I turned it on it was fine. I've never had any other issues with it except for that one time. My guess is that there was an issue with the camera writing to the memory card which is kind of strange because the memory card is supposed to be so fast. Oh and I did format it in the camera via the iphone app when I first received it. I also formatted it again after this incident and have not had anymore problems. The small size is great and allows you to take it anywhere with ease.It is an excellent camera especially for the price. Way cheaper than the other quality ones out there and just as good IMO. You won't be disappointed in this camera!Update 9/26/18: just got the iPhone XS max and now the insta 360 one will not load videos. Also, the screen will not invert and says to unlock the orientation. Problem is the orientation is not locked. Unable to find any forums on how to fix this. Don’t buy this if you have a new xs max until they fix this.

Holy compression artifacts batman!
I would say this action camera probably comes down to what you are hoping to do with it. If you are more interested in 360-degree video and image quality is a distant second then this device might be for you. Unfortunately, it wasn't for me. I would encourage anyone considering this device to watch the many YouTube videos that exist with this device first. I don't think the fault probably lies in the resolution, but more with the sensors they are using. They just don't produce the sharp image quality you would expect from even some of the cheapest action cams. All that said I didn't feel it was fair to give this device an entirely poor rating. It is bundled full of amazing technology that does deliver. Just the stabilization it provides by itself is pretty impressive. However, stabilization doesn't mean much if the image you are seeing is filled with compression artifacts and is just generally fuzzy. For me I was really hoping to take advantage of the Insta360 One's "free capture" functionality. Essentially, this allows you to record everything in 360 and then crop in only the information you might want in a 1080p flat image. This seemed very neat since it meant you would never really lose the shot you were hoping for since it essentially records everything around you. This does work, but again, the resulting image quality was poor to my eyes. So if you are looking to dabble in 360 videos then this is probably the device for you. However, if you are looking for a razor sharp image and "free capture" interests you then I would encourage you to look toward what I've used for years. It is simply a relatively inexpensive action cam (I like SJCAM and Yi) and pair it with a 3-axis motorized gimbal. The resulting image is sharp and the stabilization makes things buttery smooth and the overall cost can be the same or less than the Insta360 One.
