I primarily use these chlorine tablets during the winter months when my pool water temperature drops too low for my salt cell to generate chlorine. Once the water gets cold, my salt system stops producing chlorine, so I switch to using these tablets to maintain sanitation through the winter. I typically place one or two tablets in the skimmer basket and allow them to dissolve slowly. They work well for maintaining chlorine levels without needing to constantly add liquid chlorine. One thing I like is that the tablets come individually wrapped, which helps keep moisture out and makes them easy to store between seasons. Since I only use them during the colder months, one bucket lasts me several winter seasons. We have been using this chlorine for 3 years. One of these boxes lasts all summer so we buy one each year. We have a 15 ft round pool about 4 ft deep maybe 4.5.. one tablet at a time, usually put a new one in while the one in there looks like a ritz cracker LOL

I will say I usually dont buy this brand but in a pinch they worked great. Its a chlorine tablet, it does what its supposed to do. Ok for the money.
