High Power SI-A400M2 400-Watt Dual-Rail 12V Output ATX12V V2.0 Power Supply

I bought this power supply because the original 200W unit in a HP Pavilion m200y desktop computer was failing and needed to be replaced. I searched the original power supply part number on Amazon and this was the best match AND an upgrade in power, (400W) so I purchased it. When I received it, I noticed that the motherboard power connector was 24 pin, whereas the motherboard header was 20 pin. I immediately contacted customer support via Amazon's help center and was answered quickly and efficiently by Charlie Svenson. He explained to me exactly how the connector was designed to adapt to 20 or 24 pin connectors by a simple latch, and how to disconnect the unneeded 4 pins at the far end of the connector. I did what he suggested and installed the power supply into the computer and it is working perfectly. the power supply fit the small tower HP worked good.

Works great so far. My computer powered up with very little fan noise. I would have given this power supply a 5 star rating but I had to buy adapters for the SATA wires which cost me another week before I could power up. If there had been a better picture of the product I could have included them with my purchase.

This is a standard ATX power supply with a shallower than normal mounting depth. All the labeling says Micro, but obviously the manufacturer doesn't know power supply specs.

This power supply replaced a 230 watt original in my old HP desktop. It fit perfectly and restored my old desktop to good as new. My only issue was that there were only (3) power connectors, the original had (4). I needed (4) to power the two hard drives and a DVD-rw drive and a CD-rom drive. I had to visit a Radio Shack store and purchase a "Y" hard drive connector to give the four I needed. Other than that, it performed great. I am happy, happy, happy.

it didn't last long and didn't work well with 12Volt. Took 4 times and ditched it. More work than needed to do.

I bought this as a replacement for a older computer and it has been working fine. It had an extra sata power connector than what the spec said on another site which will be nice if I ever have to move this to a newer computer. It also seems pretty solid and well built.

We have an old HP Pavillion 1230n that is used as a tertiary computer. The OEM power supply's green light was blinking on the back. I went to the HP website and tried the hair drier remedy. That surprisingly worked, but I started to have to get out the hairdryer out every time I wanted to use the computer, so I finally gave in and after some research, bought this High Power SI-A400M2 PS.I was very pleased to receive this item very quickly. Even more importantly, it fit my HP 1230n perfectly. The 20+4 pin connector worked perfectly for the mobo, and the 1 sata connector was all I needed. The HP booted perfectly on the first try. I just got it but it is working perfectly. I will update this only if I have a problem down the road. At this point, it was more money than I wanted to spend on an old computer, but I am happy that it works just fine in the HP.
