worked better than expected
I bought these after going on my first long distance run and experiencing some of the most severe chafing I have ever experienced. I used them for the first time today for my 14 mile run and There was not a single issue with them falling off or coming loose. They were simple to put on and painless to remove at the end. I know other options such as band-aids may work, but I have a lot of chest hair and ripping those hairs out isn't something I want to deal with. In the end it would be nice if they were a bit cheaper, but at the current price I will continue to purchase and use these for my long distance runs.

superior product
I got these after previously using NipEase. NipGuards are far superior. Rather than covering you like a piece of tape, these have a foam ring that makes a flat-top "tent" over your nipples. They stay on a lot better, even with a lot of sweat on a long run. My rule of thumb is that I use them for any run over 8 miles, kind of starting point for my chaffing. I used these in a winter marathon and they stayed on in spite of cold weather running gear rubbing on them. Sweat doesn't seem to have any effect on the adhesive. These are so much better, I downgraded my previous NipEase review.

Awkward?? yes. Effective?? definitely.
Probably the strangest thing I have ever reviewed. But here goes . . . I'm a runner. I run for long distances at a time. When you run for long distances, your shirt has a lot of time to rub against your body. What parts of your chest stick out a little more??? You guessed it. Look, I don't like talking about this, but the simple fact is that when you wear these on long runs, you will avoid bleeding. There is nothing worse than arriving home after a 15 mile run to find red streaks on the front of your shirt. I get it. It's weird to slap these things on in the morning. It's awkward. But I like the results over the alternative.I only wish that they were lower profile. They raise your shirt out a little too much.

Good product, Amazon delivery, not so much
First of all, I don't see where to leave seller feedback for Amazon. Once I do, I will do that and re-rate these as 4 or 5 stars. It's one of the few times I've had problems with Amazon shipping. They worked better for me than bandaids which tended to get wet and start peeling off the chest.I got them from another source, though. I needed them before a marathon, and paid $11 for two day shipping which put it on a Sunday, and I said OK, they will come Monday, no biggie, still time before the marathon, but regular shipping was cutting it close. So then when I tracked the package, it said the order was returned to Amazon! Why? And my credit card was still charged the full amount.I still haven't received the order. The marathon is already over. I'd still take them for future use, but I would expect to be reimbursed for shipping at the very least.A couple tricks to make them work better for other people having problems.1. Wash your chest near the nipples with soapy water and rinse and dry thoroughly. Any oil on there from normal living will cause them not to stick as well.2. Bend the plastic backing at the edge and underneath the nip guard before attempting to peel it off. (I ruined a couple just trying to peel the nip guard off directly).Another thing to try is shaving any hair around the nipples, and bandaids work pretty well, too then (I tried it once, but don't want to keep doing it). The main advantage of Nipguards is they don't go over any hair (unless your nipple has hair right on the pink part, I guess).UPDATE:I did receive the product about a week AFTER I would have expected the 2 day delivery. So, wasted money on 2 day shipping.

Nothing To Write Home About
I'm a guy. I'm active and want something to help make the lines smoother and to avoid irritation and rawness when working out, running, bicycle riding. Alone, these don't work for me. I don't consider my nipples to be enormous, but they're not tiny. I found that by using this product with 3 of the very inexpensive "Mr. Nipple" in a triangle, centered over the Nip Guard, worked very well and held for over 24 hours before removing it. That was a test before trying it under a pressure situation. But then the Mr. Nipple product works well in that form, without this, too.

I don't think you will be disappointed.
I bought these to wear on long runs and to wear during the Tough Mudder. Needless to say, they went through just about everything during the Tough Mudder (climbing walls, crawling thru mud pits, etc.) and they worked amazingly! There was no pulling and they stayed in place until after the mud run was over. A simple Band-Aid will work on short runs (and will be much cheaper) but if you are an endurance athlete or if you sweat a lot on long runs then you will want to give these guys a try. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Good concept, but fell off!
I guess it works for some, but not all. I purchased these based on the reviews that they would not come off. However, not just one, but both had come off during my long run. Needless to say my pecs were hurting. I think it is time I just try body glide and hope that does the trick. Unfortunate that I spend $11 on this product when I could have just bought a different product.

No functionality issues; work great; just had an issue with the way they make the shirt look when you have them on.
These work great. Whoever said they had a problem with these sticking must have been sweaty already or had oil on their body. I had the opposite challenge, getting them off. But the slight discomfort of pealing them off beats the bloodiness of not using them at all.I did not like the way the make the shirt look when you have them on, though. Because they stick out, it's obvious you have something on underneath, almost like you're prepared for the Janet Jackson-style wardrobe malfunction. But they do work!
