Smart and rigid, a great piece of hidden furniture!
* I was creating an unusually big working desk, needing lots of space to spread out papers beside the computer.* One FINNVARD trestle was needed to support one end of a stiff MDF 190 x 75 cms panel .* The other end of this panel was supported by a standard 2-drawer steel filing cabinet ~ i.e. plenty of leg room.* Trestle assembly instructions are excellent. You need a medium weight mallet/hammer to tap in (hard) a few of the small 'pegs' that protrude from certain timber sections, to fit one section's 'pegs' into aligned holes of another.* Screwing in certain metal fixings using the Allan Key supplied, demands a lot of strength to tighten. I managed the whole job alone…in about 50 minutes ( I am not a D I Y guy! ). The low shelf provides storage space for say, A5 notebooks, A4 sheet trays, biscuits n mug etc. **My 75cm desk width, incidentally, is ideal for computer keyboard /work papers /a 23" monitor raised on a 3.5" high long wooden box. My monitor is therefore at eye level so I am saved aching neck/shoulders. (I dislike a laptop on a desk unless you can link it by cable to a raised monitor per**.)• Finished trestle looks like you see in the Amazon AD; the beech wood has a pleasing colour tone.
