Perfect size for my Boy Scout
The larger version of this knife was highly recommended by a person I respect for every day carry, so for ~$15 or so, I figured the smaller version would be great for my Boy Scout to have. I am not a knife connoisseur, so I will not be discussing metallurgy or anything technical. However, I can say that this knife has a nice weight to it without being heavy, and the metal handle only reaffirms the sense of quality. The coating on the handle seems to help reduce a loss of grip, and the flipper becomes a nice, prominent guard when the blade is deployed. The blade itself is reasonably sharp - something one expects from a new knife, though I haven't the experience to compare to more expensive knives (save for my kitchen knives, which are definitely sharper). When opening or closing the knife, the blade seems to give a positive 'snap' into the fully opened or closed position, which is something I appreciate. The liner lock is fine for me, but a bit too stiff for my son to operate - but then, they all are. Something for him to aspire to. I will likely be purchasing the larger version for myself to add to my rotation of carry knives.

Great little knife, great little price
I had one of these before but forgot it was in my pocket while waiting to go through airport security. Needless to say, I had to toss it, unfortunately. In the meantime, I had picked up a Gerber Paraframe fine blade which is a great knife too, but a bit wider and not as sleek as this one. Pros: I prefer the fine blade over the serrated because they're easier to sharpen. This knife is great to have in your pocket because it's not too cumbersome and doesn't get in the way. I absolutely love the assisted open knob (for lack of a better term) that protrudes from the back when the knife is closed. It makes it easy to flick open into the fully extended/locked position with one swift press of my index finger. The first knife I had took some time to loosen up to this point of ease, but this latest one came out of the box already "broken in" so to speak. No cons to speak of. Each person might have different initial results but this knife is well worth the purchase.

Perfect pocket knife
I bought this knife to replace a Gerber knife that I lost. The original came in a three pack of Gerber knives and this was the closest I could come to it. I keep this clipped in my front pocket every day and it is my go to tool for opening my many mail order packages! The blade is quite sharp and the knife itself is high-quality. I am a woman with small hands, but this has been borrowed by my male coworkers and they find it just as easy to use as I do.

Soft blade material, but otherwise a nice knife.
Pros Love the style and fit, even in my husbands big hands. Functional one hand open. Strong pocket clip. Easy to sharpen Cons Had to re grind the edge to a useable and symetric angle. The steel dulls after a few cuts. He Would really like for this to be his main knife but is starting to look for a blade with better steel. Again he likes the feel and functionality, but doesn't want to sharpen it daily. The stars it lost is for usability. He cant use an ever dulling knife for much.

Great knife. However not what I expected.
I am an Eagle Scout so I've gone through literally hundreds of knives in my life. Pros Lightweight Very tight clip Comes sharp and stays sharp Cons Small Very tight clip You notice that I put tight clip in both categories. Its a good thing because I lose some knives because the clip is loose. It's a bad thing because if you aren't wearing a substantial article of clothing (ie jeans) it will tear the pocket up. It's also smaller than I expected. I ordered the Evo Jr for its size but it's REALLY small. I don't have very large hands but it's kind of hard to open with one hand due to its small size. Other than that its awesome.

great little knife for EDC
I've read a lot of the reviews citing hard to open or difficult to keep sharp, and honestly, that has not been my experience. I've carried this for ~8 years as part of my EDC and it has been a solid performer for me. The action on mine is smooth, the finger nub is easy to use for 1 handed opening (honestly I'm not sure how I would open with 2 hands since there isn't a good place to grab the blade), and the release catch is easy to use once you get accustomed to it. I do agree that the clip is tight and that can be a problem with thin fabric shorts or pants, but I prefer the tight clip for retention. I also really like the size - people don't freak out when they see you carrying it or pulling it out like they might with larger tactical knifes. And the Gerber steel holds an edge when sharpened and I have had no corrosion issues.

Great everyday carry pocket knife for a low price
I have carried this thing in my pocket for a few years, and use it every day for little things like opening boxes, cutting string, cutting up fruit, poking holes in the top of coffee lids, cutting paper, even cutting up big cardboard boxes to put in the trash. It is light and small in my pocket. The clip makes it fit in a pants pocket securely, and you don't notice that you are carrying it, but it is easy to access. The flick-open ability is nifty-- if you practice, you can make it snap open like a switch blade with just a little flick of your wrist. I have to lubricate the hinge once in a while so that the blade will snap open smoothly, and sharpen the blade once a year or so, which I think is to be expected if you use it a lot like I do.

well balanced and easy to use
This knife is really light, but seems to be really solidly put together. It has a great balance in my hand. It is pretty easy to open with one hand, but is a lot easier to close using two. I haven't had this that long, but it arrived sharp, and I carved a few branches to a point just to test it out, and there was no noticeable dulling. It is the right size for me for camping and backpacking: long enough for what I need with no extra weight. For hunting or fishing, you may want something bigger. One of the scouts in my troop has the larger model, which is about the same. Regardless of which hand I use, it feels good. I am lefty, and I find the clip slightly less in the way with it in my left. I think you can take the clip off or move it to the other side, but I haven't tried. Regardless, it isn't a problem to grip with my right.
