Vandoren Leather Alto Saxophone Ligature with Plastic Cap

A quality ligature which produces a lovely sound and a pleasure to use. Well packaged and ideal for storing it in. Would happily buy again.

This ligature works well & the sound quality is improved compared to the original metal one I had. It has 3 optional inserts, which vary the tone of play from versatile to classical or jazz. It is good quality & robust I can’t imagine it ever breaking. The only down side is it’s rather expensive but for the improved quality of sound I think it’s worth it especially when used on an appropriate mouth piece for the player

I found when using a synthetic reed it wouldn't hold it firm and reed moved. Normal reeds were fine.

I’ve tried two of these over the years and as much as I want to love it, it just isn’t practical. I’ve had two different Vandoren mouthpieces and this ligature doesn’t fit over either of them. It’ll go over the mouthpiece but only when it’s unscrewed as far as it’ll go and I can’t then tighten it. This has resulted in damaging reeds to try to get/keep them in the correct position. I can’t understand why I’m having this problem when no one else seems to be, but it’s really frustrating. I like the sound produced with the leather pads holding the reed- it feels warmer than the sound which comes out when I use my old brass ligature and considering you get there pads it actually seems fairly good value for money. But I’ve ended up having to return it due to problems with the fit.

メイヤーサイズ。かなりダークな音色になるので、ジャズやポップスに使う場合はハイバッフルのラバーマウスピースに合わせると音量とダークな甘い音色のいいとこ取りになって非常にバランスが良い。 旧バージョンを15年ほど使っていましたが、新バージョンもとても良い感触でした。 プレートの違いもオプティマムより明確に出るので付け替えが楽しいです。 YouTubeで情報を探すとイマイチなレビューも出てきますが、このリガチャーは一万円以下で買えるにも関わらず一生モノのクオリティだと思います。
