400 Watt Solar Panel Kit for Boat 12V 24V Battery Charger, 4pcs 100W Polycrystalline Solar Panels with 40A LCD Charge Controller + Accessory

*Update I was informed by the supplier that the color of the cables was not specific. ************************************************************************************************** My first attempt at working with solar panels, installed 4 x 100 watt on the roof of my shed. I had hoped to install all four in a line on the peak of the shed but the kit came with a four way splitter which limited the distance I could keep them apart with adding extensions. In the end I split the four panels apart and put two on the top and two on the lower slope. I tested the current from each panel on a sunny day and got 5.47 amps which I was happy with. All the cabling and splitters were plug and play and easy to install, you can't make a mistake. The one mistake I did make (thankfully no harm was done) was to presume that the cable colors from the splitter to the controller represented the battery code for North America, which would be red for positive and black for negative and when it didn't work I discovered that these cables were opposite, I reversed the wiring on the controller and it worked great. This system has been working for close to a month now and I am very pleased with the results. One small complaint is that I wish the display on the controller had a back light, I have it in a dark spot and can't see the display easily. It's a great kit.
