Very Good Monitor for the Price
We have adult disabled children in the family. Sensory rooms were custom made for them but as a family, we still like to do more than check on them every half hour, so this camera was a blessing. It was inexpensive and it actually works. We can talk to each other, we can see the room and the camera follows the movements of the autistic adults inside the sensory room. I could not believe how clear it was, how you can hear everything and how easy it was to upload to our phones inside the house as we go about our day. I don't have a video but I can honestly tell you that this product works very well.

EASY & EFFECTIVE CAMERA - HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
EXTREMELY EASY TO USE • COST-EFFECTIVE • VERSATILE • SATISFYING: I happened to buy a 4-pack of Kasa smart plugs recently. After experiencing firsthand how easy it was to integrate them into my existing and very average home Wi-Fi system - not to mention tie their control into existing Amazon smart devices such as my Echo Dot and EchoPop - I simply couldn't resist the urge to (join the rest of you in the 21st century and) purchase a camera.APPLICATION: I wanted an easy to buy, implement, use and maintain a remote controllable and reasonably 'smart' surveillance system - just to keep an eye on things that happen on the street. I learned very quickly the Kasa camera system has features that enable it to not only track motion but specifically people when desired (see Activity Zones IMG) ; features include various levels of tracking up to and including "Patrol Mode" which will cause the camera to rotate through the four savable "scenes" at the specified interval(s) allowing for 360° monitoring from just one camera. Even has NIGHT VISION.I actually bought two cameras and haven't even set up the second one because the first is already doing so much!TIPS & TRICKS: Make sure you purchase a reasonable quality 64 GB mini SD card. That is the maximum size card this model of Kasa camera can utilize. TO INSERT THE CARD: using the mobile interface pan the camera upward until the mini SD card port and reset buttons are exposed (see IMGs.) Insert the card LABEL UP and press until firmly clicked and secured in its final position. I have been running the camera "24/7" (the actual mode is known as "24/7 Monitoring") at maximum resolution of 1080p for ~ 3 days and have used less than 25% of the 64 GB capacity. (see IMGs)HOW TO SAVE EVIDENCE: Should something unfortunate occur and you find yourself in the position of needing to save that which your camera captured you can simply click on "24/7 recording" & move the saved timeline bar to the requisite point, wait for playback to start and click the 🔴 in the lower right-hand portion on the playback screen. (Note: Give the video recall some time - after all it is the camera having to go back and read saved data while still recording and saving new data, transmit saved data through the Wi-Fi network to your phone and ultimately save it in a new location. Even the fastest systems will take a moment.) Following these steps will save a video of what was recorded that you will find in your video gallery. *There is a portion of the app allocated to Activity Alerts Tracking which is available with a Kasa Care subscription; I do not have that subscription thus I am unable to speak to those features at this time but imagine they facilitate easier activity recall and saving.WHAT TO DO NOW: Click purchase. 😊 Seriously this thing is fabulous especially for the price point. Off the top of my head some of the easiest applications I can think of would be keeping an eye on your pets or your kids while they're at home or having an extra pair of eyes when needed.*** Keep in mind this review is written from the standpoint of someone seeking easy applications and easy use - If you are looking for something that is sturdy, has own/redundant power, data storage and signaling capacity, is designed to survive not only adverse weather/climate but also potential tampering this is not the device I would recommend.

Great Deal of a Camera
I absolutely love this dog camera! The video quality is crystal clear, and the audio works really well, so I can both see and hear my dog whenever I’m away. I also love that I can move the camera remotely to look around the room instead of being stuck with one view. The live feed stays up to date with very little delay, which gives me peace of mind when checking in throughout the day. The subscription is also very affordable—only about $3 a month for one camera—which is well worth it for the features you get.Overall, this camera has exceeded my expectations, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an easy, reliable way to keep an eye on their pets.

It gets 4 stars because its low price, otherwise it would be lower..
I purchased these as a way to be able to help monitor inside of my mom's house to help watch her when I'm not around. 3 are currently running and 1 is in the midst of being replaced (will likely be sending another one back for replacement too).Pros: Setup on your phone is very easy. Will detect device firmware updates and prompt you to proceed (then give an error when it tries to reboot, but you can unplug it to reset it).Pros: Very cheap in price. Currently around $20/USD each.Pros: Good lens quality, good video quality, good low-light detectionPros: Audio microphone/speaker is decentPros: Low Profile but wide range due to pan and tilt supportPros: Cloud access available. See Con below.Cons: To store to cloud, it would require a subscription as you have to use their cloud and not your own.Cons: Zero way to 'reset' it to the center. Have it off to the right because of movement and want to get it back to the center? Good luck.Cons: Zero access via any computer. Required to use App on iOS or Android. Want to re-aim the lens (see above) using the app? Push in the direction you want it to go, and it'll go up, then start moving. Let go of the direction, and it'll still move a bit so you're off the mark.Cons: Zero method to store clips off memory card without manually removing the card each day and loading it to a PC. 256GB card (max size) can only hold 24 hours.Cons: Quality seems an issue. Already returned 1 (DOA) and about to send a 2nd one for replacement (movement detection is faulty). I've had the camera's 1 week.Cons: Movement detection requires distance. Camera set up in hallway corner between 2 room entrances. If you walk from 1 entrance directly into the other, even if you're right in front of the camera, it won't recognize that something moved in front of it. Get at least 12" clearance (maybe less?) and then it'll detect it.

Good indoor pet monitor camera
I am actually a pretty fan of these cameras. When I bought them they were about $22 a piece for the 1080p pan and tilt cameras, and at that price I would say they are worth the purchase. The cameras have a pretty good picture in the house. They're not necessarily good enough to read someones name tag, but they definitely let you know what's going on in the room. The motor in the camera to pan and tilt it is pretty quiet. The audio pick up from the room is not super good. You can definitely hear, and if you are talking through the camera to someone in the room and they talk back directly to you, you will hear them. If people are just talking quietly in the room you may not be able to hear them well on the camera. The night vision works pretty well, though of course, the picture is better with a light on in the room. They are NOT good at looking through a window to see outside when it's dark out. The screen or the glass reflect the night vision IR light and blind the camera, so if you want an indoor camera to monitor through the window for what's going on outside, this will only do that with good daylight outside. The app is easy to set up and use. You can install a micro sd card to record video and audio on site, but there is some peculiarity with the format of the video that comes from it. I had something recorded on the sd card, which I have had a lot of trouble (and not yet been successful) in transferring to my computer. In general though, and until I find out that Kasa has been spying on us the whole time, I like these cameras a pet monitors.

Good value and excellent support
This is my second unit, and the both work great. Zones and scenes are good but the ability to remotely pan & tilt are great. I was a little slow getting the second one set up, but Nathaniel at Top Link support was expedient and professional ... He had me up and running in no time. Good equipment, good support and a good price. Would definitely recommend the EC70.

Should Have Read More Reviews.....Disappointed is an understatement..
I want to preface this review by saying I was excited to find a camera with a budget friendly cost and a good amount of positive reviews, so I was hopeful...Review for: Kasa Indoor Pan/Tilt Smart Security Camera EC70I purchased this camera on August 17th 2023, it delivered on August 27th. I did not subscribe as I did not want my information stored anywhere, so I purchased memory cards separately. Upon receiving the camera, I was quickly up and running, the instructions were clear and I was able to follow them without any concerns. The camera worked beautifully, seamlessly, and clear, for roughly 2 months. On October 22nd 2023, I started noticing glitches in the streaming and an extremely long time loading. I want to note that my household runs SOLELY on a wifi network and because of this, I am equipped to handle various devices and have a very strong connection. No other device in my household has encountered such problems. Finally after a few hours of glitches and loading issues, I went into "settings" on the Kasa App to help diagnose a problem. Turns out my camera was offline. SHOCKER. After the app prompted me through the laundry list of troubleshooting, I completed this list SEVERAL times. I reset, I unplugged, I reset again, I removed device, I re-added device, reset my home router, still to no avail. Literally, hours spent trying to figure out how to make my camera reconnect. I even went as far as to call my internet service provider to see if there was an outage, even though ALL OTHER devices in my home were streaming perfectly, my phone was working, and appliances were connected. I know, crazy, if I would have had an issue with my home wifi, I am certain any other device or ALL would have issues. But no just this camera.I reached out to the customer service team via email and provided a thorough & detailed explanation of the issues I was having , and they responded with asking me to provide a "small video about the APP slow to load." whatever that means. They provided a link for trouble shooting, and if that still didn't work then I would have to send another email telling them in detail what steps I followed. Which I very much explained in my initial email. I went through ALL troubleshooting steps again, close now to 20 times and was able to get connection but it was somehow worse than before. I emailed them telling them step-by-step, and even told them I wasn't sure why I needed to re-explain the steps I am taking when they are the EXACT same. Granted this camera did not cost me my life savings, but it should work longer than 2 months. They responded telling me to download A WHOLE OTHER APP and follow the steps in the email in the app and send back the files collected, as if I am part of their IT team? HECK NO. I will not download another app and send back "files" just to not have resolution again. Who knows what data is collected during that process.I am almost embarrassed how frustrated I am with this whole thing. I really just wanted to put my experience out there so someone else doesn't have to deal with the bull I just went through. Do not contact customer service, they are NO help, and only send emails during witching hour.I am eating the cost of this camera and know now to better invest in my future purchase.I DO NOT suggest this camera, READ all reviews, good and bad.

Basic Camera with a lot of nice options!
I am writing this review for the Kasa smart indoor camera EC70, features may change from past to future models. I do have a separate security system for the outdoors, and I wanted something simple and portable to use indoors. I chose the Kasa camera because I already have the Kasa smart plugs. For about $20 dollars this is a camera with a lot of nice features. It is extremely easy to install and use. First, download the Kasa Smart App and create an account. Second, plug the camera into a power source, open the app add the camera and follow the directions. Once added, use the 3rd party tab to add to your Alexa account and google home account. If you already have added those accounts, then the camera will automatically be added and you can access it through the Alexa and google home app. The camera once added did require a firmware update and this took about 2 minutes. Some helpful tips I learned during my encounter with set up. The EC70 camera will accept a microSD card from 8 to 256GB used for local storage. Even though it tells you during set up to add, you will NOT be able to do so unless the camera is tilted up as high as it can go. So, you may have to finish set up, then start the camera and tilt it up before you can install it. For the Alexa app, the app will NOT turn the EC70 camera on or off. I am able to connect the camera to my Echo Show and FireTV only. The camera WILL send notifications to any Amazon device, and you are able to pick which devices to receive notifications. For google home, it is essentially the same, you need to have a Nest or Chromecast device in order to view the EC70 camera output. You probably will need to use the google help page for instructions on how to set it up. You can set the EC70 camera for different views of the area you wish to see, and can also place it on patrol mode to automatically move to each view. There are a wide range of positions available to meet your particular specifications and needs. The camera is mobile, unless you attach it to a wall or ceiling with the included bracket. The picture quality is great, and you do have options for the video quality settings depending on your wifi. I read other reviews and some of the negativity of the EC70 camera most likely is due to your wifi, not the actual equipment. I have used this camera to watch the front door when I am in the back, and also to watch the dogs. It is nice to receive the notification that they are at the door, so I can let them out to do their business. I am very happy with my purchase. I hope you find this review helpful.
