Very good drives
I bought two of these quite a few months ago to upgrade a spinning disk on my now dated machine, which was quite slow on the initial boot up, but otherwise ran quick enough the rest of the time (I had plenty of RAM). I also wanted to set up Raid-1 on the C: drive, so if a drive fails I didn't lose the whole machine. I tried to do the migration by setting up a mirror between my spinning disk and the new drive and it all went wrong for me as they are incompatible for Raid purposes (so don't migrate your system that way). But anyway, I rescued the system in the end.And now I am very happy with my new SSD based system. It boots up much faster now. Since I got everything working properly I haven't had any problems with the new drives and would happily recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade to an SSD based system.

Sensible upgrade for PC's/Macs - Breathe new life into an older device
I have been an IT professional for 30+ years, and over that time I have had to fix many "Slow" or "Unusable" computers over the years. In the early days the answer was always to add more RAM to a computer, but as modern PC's got faster the one component that lets down the performance of a machine more than anything else is the storage device (HDD).Moving away from a standard HDD (Hard Disk Drive) to an SSD has many advantages, but the key two for me are speed and reliability.Older HDD's use moving mechanical parts to store and read your data, and with all things mechanical they can fail and they can be slow, but an SSD has no moving parts, and can locate and update your data much much quicker than a HDD could.I installed this SSD into a 2005 Dell laptop that was pretty much unusable due to the slow speed of Windows 7. This has transformed the performance of the machine making us usable, useful and able to be my home media server for the past 10 years.I simply removed the old drive and popped in this SSD, re-installed Windows and all the other software I use and it's been 100% reliable to this day.Yes, more modern PC's have much better storage technologies these days (NVME M.2 PCI-GEN4) but there are still of lot of legacy PC's/Laptops out there that could benefit from an SSD upgrade. For me, it is my go to thing to upgrade on an older machine to breath some new life into the computer.Good price/performance/reliability ratio - so it's a winner for me! Recommended.

It works
Bought for an aging laptop and the result is a speed boost in all areas and increased battery life, as well as being quieter than the original drive. Installation was a little tricky because the laptop in question was not designed for ease of upgrades but with a little care it was done and once complete, the results were well worth it.

Fit for purpose...
...and that purpose was to add storage capacity to a new 'mini-pc' [separate review soon].The SSD comes securely packaged in the usual SanDisk way and needs to be 'Initialised' and 'Formatted' to meet your particular requirements. A quick search of Google will tell you how to achieve this if you are unsure - it's actually very easy if you just follow the instructions and let your computer do the necessary preparations. There are a number of manufacturers of SSD drives and there are an equal number of claims regarding their 'Read/Write' speeds etc. Equally there are a variety of prices and I have tried a few different brands but overall I now stick to SanDisk products as a personal preference for quality etc.Once prepared and inserted I can confirm that this SSD works extremely well and that data throughput is excellent and as I would expect with one form of SSD communicating with another. As you may have guessed - I commend this item and believe it to be good value.I am very pleased to report that it works perfectly well for me and the safety of my data and on that basis I am very happy to recommend it to you.Thank you for your time in reading my feedback/review – I hope it may have helped you in your own buying decision. If this feedback/review has helped in any way please be kind enough to click on 'Helpful'.

Simple to install, brilliant performance.
I had to have a friend format it on his PC before I could use it as the computer can't recognise it until that's done, he formatted it in GPT form rather than MBR by mistake. One is a slightly older memory style. Luckily I managed to enter the computers advanced settings and change this very quickly after reading how to on the internet. Then I already had Windows Media Creation tool saved on a USB stick from when my last computer went wrong. Once that was installed I had my laptop up and running perfectly. I've been using Sandisk products for years and trust them.

HDD to SSD - amazing speed
WOW, just purchased this sandisk 1Tb SSD to upgrade my slow laptop, i used a twin hard drive dock with offline clone function, which took just over an hour, then when complete the SSD install into my laptop was easy, basically the reverse of taking the hdd out !iIpressed the power button on my laptop and 1-2-3-4-5 i was looking at my windows desktop with all the programs there & complete. i was amazed to say the least.getting the sandisk ssd was a no brainer, they have a good reputation for storage and reliability and the warranty is just peace of mind.i'd defo receommend to anyone wanting a faster laptop (or desktop) to get a SSD drive, the speed is amazing, my laptop is alive again !!!(i will keep my old hdd safe just incase.....)10/10, absolutley amazing, can't think why i didn't upgrade sooner, (probably being short of ££ didn't help !!)
