Not fit for Purpose
I must have been very unlucky with this product, for a start it was loose in the plastic sales pouch, the brush end and the plastic tube was firmly fixed together,no way could I remove it,As for sliding over as discribed just was not going to happen. This was purchased in good faith as it would cover the soft brush end.I have purchased many Hama products in the past and found them of good quality. Its not worth the hassel of sending this item back.

Every camera gadget bag should have one of these, great value for money
I had one of these camera lens blower brushes about 45 years ago, when I bought my 1st single lens reflex camera. I used to carry it in my gadget bag. Sometime in the past 25 years I lost it.I was very pleased to receive this version from Amazon to review. It's very small and easily fits in a pocket or gadget bag. It is nice and compact and when the bulb is squeezed a gentle stream of air emits to blow away any dust on the camera lens.Any stubborn dirt can be removed by using the brush. There is a retractable sleeve that pulls down over the bristles to protect them. One reviewer said that the sleeve could easily come off but I have not had this problem.I have not tried to use it on the mirror or sensor of my DSLR, as I've never had a dust problem yet, but if I did I'm sure this brush would clean it.

Does what it's supposed to do
This is a great little product for cleaning the lens of your camera. Squeeze the bulb to blow air through the bristles of the brush to blow specks of dust away without having to touch the lens (you can remove the brush so that you get a stronger puff of air). If the dirt is stuck on you can use the brush to gently sweep it away. There is a clear sleeve that sits over the handle when the product is in use but that can be slid down over the bristles when you've finished to protect them when it's stored in your camera back. My only complaint about the product is that this sleeve could easily fall off the brush and would be impossible to put back on. It also has a tendency to slide about on the brush so that the bristles aren't always protected. I like that they've thought to add some kind of protection on the product but just wish it worked a little better.

waste of money
The packaging states that this is suitable for cleaning sensors, lenses & eye piecesIt has a bulbous plastic piece (the valve) that when squeezed emits "an optimal gust of air" in reality its barely any kind of puff of air. Also enclosed is an attachment of a brush which is intended for "removing heavy soiling & coarse particles"The brush is made of quite stiff nylon, its quite big at more than a cm in diameter & the bristles are quite uneven.Used on my camera lense to give it a clean & found it useless, the brush is so big it drags other particles onto the lense from outside the lense area & the valve does not emit enough air to blow away even the smallest particles of dust

Cheap and cheerful
Basically it's exactly what it says on the tin, a classic photographer's puffer brush.First off it's not exactly the highest quality item. The bulb is very plastic and I can imagine would probably split after a few heavy sessions. The brush bristles are quite harsh and I'd only use them on something not easily scratch, like the camera body. I'd certainly never use it on a lens front element or the mirror. The bristles seems solid enough attached to the stem but I get the feeling that after enough use they'd work loose and might get loose in somewhere important. It's OK for a beginners first puffer but certainly not a pro or serious amateur tool.

Does the job well.
This is a very simple device used for blowing and brushing the dust and dandruff that alwYs seems to get on your camera lens and eyepiece. As it is small it has limited puff but along with the brush it is an effective and easy to pack tool. Loads of different makes around but this one is above average in quality.
