EUHOMY Countertop Ice Maker Machine, 40Lbs/24H Auto Self-Cleaning.I purchased the icemaker after reading numerous reviews of several brands. I also visited friends with icemakers. I considered thr smaller bullet ice cube machines, but when I tested them at friends' homes, the ice melted almost before I finished my drink. Plus, the ice was not clear.Initially, I purchased a competitor's icemaker similar to this one (nearly identical), but returned it for this one because the competitor's model did not include self-cleaning.PROS• Clear ice (I use bottled water)• Small square cubes with an indentation on one side.• Slow melting when using setting #6. Settings range from 1 to 6, with ice cube walls on #6 being the thickest. It is my preferred setting because the thicker ice lasts longer. Of course, the thicker ice takes a bit longer to make, but in my opinion, it is worthwhile.CONS• Heavy (40-ish pounds)• Drainage. I would prefer something that extends from the side or back, so I could extend to the sink for draining.CUSTOMER SUPPORT WAS EXCELLENTI purchased my unit early June 2023. In January 2024, the tiny silocone stopper for the drainage hole separated into two pieces. I was unable to remove the nipple part that was stuck inside the machine. The machine still worked perfectly, but I had to turn it on the side to empty it.Customer service promptly responded & sent me a replacement.NOTESThe drainage port on the 6/2023 model was on the lower left in the back. The port on the 07/2024 replacement is underneath near the front of the machine, & the cap is attached by a silicone (or plastic) cord. Whether this is a better option, I won't know until I use it. I think it will be OK, since I can slide the front of the unit over the sink, then open the drain cap.I would definitely buy this again! Of course, I ALWAYS purchase the extended warranty on all small appliances & electronics, so I won't need to buy another one for several years.

I have no real complaints about this ice maker so far. I was able to get it on sale for around $50, which was considerably lower than other similar ice maker units.It makes ice pretty fast but can be a bit loud at times, which can be good since you can hear the ice drop in the basket letting you know it's ready. The ice is slightly 'watery' so to increase the density, I strongly recommend putting it in the freezer and waiting a bit, but it's not necessary.I'd like to put cold brew coffee in a unit for cold brew cubes but I'm not sure if it would cause damage.I did quite a lot of research and STRONGLY recommend you unplug the unit when not in use so that there is less chance of a potential electrical fire.Overall rating so far: 4.5/5

My wife and I bought this ice maker after we moved, and had to give up our Sub-Zero refrigerator and ice maker. We use a lot of ice year-round so the thought of reverting to ice trays was horrible! After a lot of research we settled on this unit and knew what we were getting into, more or less. Overall the unit works well, and certainly as advertised. Once it gets to temp it cranks out ice pretty quickly, and because we use filtered water the cubes are clear and tasteless.What we didn't know is that the ice maker is designed to make sheets of ice that have to be broken apart. Easy enough, I guess, but the ice is pretty wet, so when it's put in the freezer for storage we wind up with some sort of Expressionist ice sculpture that then needs to be chopped up to usable pieces again. I want to stress that this is not a fault of the machine, but it is a consideration: there's no refrigeration for storage so if you're making ice for later use as we do, it's not as straightforward as just reaching into the freezer ice bin for a few cubes.The machine is easy enough to clean, though I had to reach out to customer support to find out how to start the self-cleaning cycle as my initial instructions were to press the clean button--which didn't exist on my machine. Support was very helpful then, and equally helpful when I reached out because of a loud noise the unit began to make. A quick email back to me solved the problem and it has been running well ever since.Bottom line: if you need a lot of ice in a small footprint, this is a great unit and I would buy it again, with the caveat that because the ice comes out a bit wet, transferring it to your freezer will require an additional step once it has been stored there for a while.

This icemaker works just as advertised. It has a relatively small footprint, but is substantial and attractive. The cubes formed are about 1/2” on each side. They are CLEAR. The unit collects the ice in an easily removable basket which I use to transport them to my freezer’s ice container as the unit does not refrigerate them once formed. Maintenance is simple. Freezing times are just as advertised. I’ve had the unit for just a couple of weeks, but it’s working so far without a hitch. I’m very satisfied with my unit and with the customer service I’ve received regarding cleaning and maintenance. The price point is fair for this quality item.
