This dash cam is a really great value for the price!The quality of the video is very good, much more than enough to cover you in case of a car accident.I love that it can be placed easily in any car, I’m always renting and that makes it perfect for my use.In terms of easiness to use, it’s relatively easy, I actually didn’t need to open the manual to figure out the basics.The camera can record both its video and the video from the rear camera at the same time. It creates separates files for them so that’s pretty convenient.It comes with a 32GB TF card, which is pretty good again considering the price point. That will record you more than 5 hours if you record only the front camera, of half if you record with both at the same time.It seems that there is a mode that can save the last few seconds in case you were not recording and if the camera senses a chock. I haven’t had the opportunity to use it yet but that’s pretty cool!It has a motion detector in case you can find any use for that… Maybe for use at a front door of a house?It has a “loop recording” functionality, which I have no idea what it is for. The manual doesn’t say anything about it. (UPDATE: Actually it’s in the Amazon’s description! What I find weird with this function is that it never tells you how much time it has been recording stuff, as it will reset every x minutes, depending on what you selected. It does tell you however, when you’re not recording, how much time you have left on the card)The negatives:The biggest negative in my opinion is that the clip on which the cam snaps on doesn’t seem like it will last forever. I will update in case it doesn’t hold the cam anymore.As long as it’s being used in a car, I think it will be fine, but I wouldn’t use it on a bike for example.The second thing is that the battery doesn’t last for a long time at all.I charged it then try to start the cam without being plugged, and it was already missing one bar of battery out of 3. I suspect this battery is only there to be able to complete the recording when you turn off your car and that the power gets disconnected. I wonder if the cam will automatically turn off and save the clip if the battery gets too low.One other thing, the manual: those people need to get themselves a better translator! For example, here is a sentence from it: “Connect the plug with DVR seperater port when finished decorate” (I didn’t make a typo, I just copy pasted it). Plus there isn’t instructions on how to activate the IR leds, I guess that it’s by connecting the electric cable that comes with the rear camera, but it doesn’t even say how many volts it needs to take! (UPDATE, I read from another review that you have to connect them to the rear lights of your car, which makes sense, but I would have loved it to be written somewhere!)Also if you look at the picture I provided, you can see that the picture of the camera in the manual is reversed with the reality (see those 4 buttons on the right? The picture says on the right there’s only 3 buttons and the TF card slot…)One last thing, the languages are not accurate. For example if you try to set it to French, you’ll have another language that definitely doesn’t look like FrenchI’ll give it 5 stars because ultimately by searching a bit I could figure everything out, and that’s ok to have to do that for the price, bug if the manufacturer is reading that, please, ask a native english speaker to read your manual once before you get it printed! That will increase your credibility a lot!

*** UPdate. Customer service contacted me and is sending a new mount and SD card. I have upgraded the review to 4 stars. When I get the new mount and SD card, I will update to 5 stars ****I have a couple of issues with the camera I am hoping to resolve. It is past the return window to Amazon. The Mirror mount came broken in the box. The part on the post the camera mounts to is broken. Is it possible to get a new post? Also I am on the 3rd SD card. The one it came with stopped working. When the camera turns on the screen freezes like it took a picture, but will not do anything else. None of the buttons will work nor can I access any of the menus. I bought an sd card to replace. It worked for 2 days and now the camera will not recognize it. The 3rd one is working for the moment. But not feeling confident it will continue to work. Thinking I wasted my money on this camera. On the positive side, it is a good looking item, fairly easy to figure out how to work. Simple install, easy to hardwire into the car. When It was working it took clear video and worked as described,

After seeing so many good reviews I ordered this dash cam and used in my long trip but it just stopped recording after 2 hours. When I tried to power off and on it seemed to start working again but it didn't record anything and eventually it went down by showing only blue screen. I decided to return it back.

this dashcam is ok, but not as expected. first of all, throw the directions in the recycle bin. they are worthless! had to figure out function buttons by trial and error. still not real certain about them. front cam. rec. is jerky most of the time, but good enough to tell what is going on. rear cam. is poor focus. not very clear at all. tried different settings with no success. I would not recommend this product at all! will probably sell it to some other sucker, and take a loss. then shop for another. May have to spend a little more money. sometimes you get what you pay for. is true in this case. didn't spend much, didn't get much. oh well, just another lesson learned.Hope this helps someone.

The camera and accessories arrived on time and well packaged. Everything was organized in a nice package. The camera's both worked very well and was easy to setup in my wife's Honda fit it took me about 2 hours to setup both cameras the way I liked with all the wires being hidden within the Honda's body panels. I liked the way that the camera's software records both front and rear cameras at the same time and how the you can watch both front and rear cameras on the screen with the option to switch to one single view either the front or the rear camera. A few things I did not like about the dashcam was how the camera mounts to the rearview mirror or the windshield suction mount. The camera does not have a solid lock, it only slides into place which could easily fall off in a collision. Another feature that I dislike is that the camera will not record more than 10 minutes per file which means saving a file can be a hassles having to sort through all the files. The dash cam has been working great but it's only been 2 weeks only time will tell. I would rate this dash cam a 3.5 out of 5 because the camera's locking mechanism and the recording times per files.

Good video quality, I installed on a 03 Dakota, 15 X5, and 14 Sonic. I have the rear camera for recording only, but not the backup cam. Wiring was a bit short to the rear...But, it could be the way I ran the wires...But as a front and rear dashcam...Works great!Side note...Make sure you keep it hooked to power...The battery drains quick.

Excellent dash cam. With small size, it takes up little window space. Its performance both in day and night is very good, pretty clear and stable. Easy to install with two kinds of the bracket.

The camera works really well. Easily installed. The instructions are horribly incomplete though. Not enough info on how to use the camera. For instance switching from front to back cameras, and the micro SD card in awkward to get in and out.

Used it about a week now. Installation was very easy, just followed installation instruction. Very clear dash camera video and night video is not bad as long as there is some external lights, but rear camera video is so so (as expected from 480 resolution). Could get similar product cheaper, but those are limited to 32GB SD card. No problem with ADATA Class 10 U1 64GB card. Just hope it works for more than a year, as some reviews reported the product didn't last very long.

The camera is easy to use and has a good picture for the price.You can set your cam to see both front and back of your vehicle or one of them. it comes with everything you need to set it up right out if the box, the picture quality I find it to be great for what it is, it’s got great vision for day as well as night.The design of the camera looks sleek and looks presentable in the car. The screen is also of a good size so we don't have to squint eyes when using it. Quality is really good and would recommend!

Purchased this dash cam as it was within amazons deal of the day. Received it quite quickly thanks to prime.Once I began installing, the first thing I noted was this product was a used return. I contacted the seller, who offered me a 15% refund ($6.75) if everything still worked. I continued the install to get a feel for the product and how well it worked. First thing noted was the provided suction cup mount was already broken where the lever is used to create the suction, thus rendering it useless. the camera did come with a rearview mirror mount, which I used instead. The daytime picture quality is good, however would definitely require a CPL filter to have good night recording as the glare from lights etc, (and direct sunlight) renders the cam almost useless.The rear camera: The rear is the generic chinese cheap rear cam that comes on most Amazon dual dash cams. The mount this one came with rendered it completely useless as I wanted to install the camera on the inside of my rear window, however with the camera being a cube, and the mount at the rear, there is no way to mount it flush.Overall after all these issues, with the camera being used, accessories damaged, and no mounting options for the rear I have opted to return this product.

Date/time reset automatically frequently, so the videos taken can't be representative. Badly designed item. Most of the time, the buttons don't function at all, which means useless. Everyday it has a few times that the camera won't start recording automatically, which means I have to manually restart to run the record. Took me effort to finish installation and now it's such a pain to remove it if I want to return.

I’m still working with it. It has a lot of stuff and minimal direction. You can see it’s been translated from Chinese. I can’t hook up the rear camera as my back up camera is there already.
