These work fine but the latch to keep them closed is really flimsy. Overall they do work as expected just disappointed about the cheap locking mechanism.

This is a very nice pair of pliers that are perfect for fly fishing. It has a nice case that sits right on the belt to your waders and a cord to attach the pliers so you don't lose them at the bottom of the river.

Pros:1. makes pulling the hook out a lot easier then standard needle noses.2. Comes with a belt pouch to hold them.3. Has a carabiner and bungee so you can't drop them in the water.4. Handle feels OK in the hands.Cons:1. For the money the metal nose of the pliers felt cheap.2. Materials feel adequate at best and I am not sure how long they will last.

These pliers are awesome stainless steal one with a sheath to keep in while fishing or for storage. And a lanyard for keeping the pliers is arms reach.
