fiddley, but great
They are exactly what you need for the job on 2 shoes, but for those of us who have too many thumbs they are a bit fiddley.

4 YEAR REVIEW ON WORK BOOTS ..Not just for Salomon..
Wow 4 years on and these have stood up to everything that broken ground and building sites can throw at them. The boot soles have torn so I order new boots and I am still using the same Salomon Quick Laces. I tried LockLaces and a cheaper brand for other boots, but found they promise similar performance but are not thin enough to truly release when removing the boots. Original 1 year review: I know these look like they are only for Salomon footwear, but I took a chance and bought them for some workwear steel toe boots. I didn't find the problems others had 'assembling' the mechanism, perhaps it has changed recently, but I found it pretty straightforward to fit them. These are now fitted to a pair of V12 Workboots and work well, a sharp tug on them tightens the lace instantly. It leaves quite a long bit of slack lace that needs to be tucked in to the bottom part of the lacing out of the way. Releasing them is easy and a joy when getting home at night and just wanting rid of the bricks on your feet as quickly as possible in favour of some soft trainers, banishing the feeling of a working day mmmm :)

Good quality quicklace
Great quality, clear instructions however I found it really really difficult to thread the new laces, small plastic guide is way too big for Salomon loopholes.

fitted snowboard boots well, but it was missing a bit
the main function of lacing and tightening boots seems fine.but came with 3 female and one 1 male end of lace dongles, so I can't join end of laces together on one boot

Really did the trick
After watching some YouTube tutorials it was really easy and allowed recovering some speedcross to functioning after I was lazy one day and did not tuck the latch and ripped it off. Now did not want to waste any so now sporting a fashionable dual colour 🫣 (black is the original, red is the replacement). Works like before and could not be happier, only wish they did some more colours/neon.

very very difficult to thread
1. 'instructions' require quite a bit of puzzling over - be careful opening the package because the staples run thru key parts of the instructions and you will tear them.2. the laces are too thick for the thread holes (best to send them back but if you really need to use them it may be still possible for you to manage it, I worked out a way and did it , took me 90 minutes for the first, 10mins for the second: make sure to thread from underside of each lace-hole, not from above; silicon spray does not help, maybe grease would, I didn't want to do that due to mess; do NOT follow instructions to melt the lace-ends at this stage because the blobs of melted plastic will prevent threading; the plastic guide sleeve will also not pass thru the lace-holes even without a lace inside to guide! - so with sharp scissors trim along the cut-off to slim it down and thus fashion a longer thinner end of plastic which will just poke thru; and then with thin-nosed pliers tug on that gently until you work thru a sufficient thickness to really pull on it without snapping it off- you will have to pull hard to get the lace thru eventually. When threaded the last step is to feed each side of the lace thru its half of a permanent plastic sleeve (the two halves of which should eventually clip together) and tie a hold knot. The two plastic halves of the permanent sleeve will however not clip together because the lace and knot will be too big. To do this I tightened the hold knot very hard with pliers then trim all excess off leaving only a few mm over; then with pliers force the two halves of the permanent plastic sleeve to couple - be careful not to nip your fingers. Done. The lace feels a bit tight so I suppose it may fray and fail sooner.3. Best to send these laces back and ask your supplier to replace the laces for you.

Not the easiest to replace but works well.
Needed to search instructive videos on YouTube. Eventually got them replaced and am happy with the results.

Best laces, hands down
These are great. I love them on the speedcrosses and have thrown them on all the shoes and boots that I slip on and off regularly or combat boots that get their laces shredded in the bush

Best quick laces available.
I've tried a few options from footlocker and REI. These are the best. Far better than any elastic based quick lace on the market. These now go in all of my laced shoes.

Très satisfait
Mes chaussures Salomon à laçage rapide ne permettent pas les lacets standards. Ce kit m'a permis de prolonger la vie de mes chaussures.
