if this brush is for short hair, why are they showing only long hair..I want a brush/blower for Short hair..

The barrel with bristles is about 3” wide so it would depend how short your hair is. If very short it may not work that well. It is small in stature (shorter handle). I use it for travel and have just above the shoulder length hair.

Does this work with 4c hair?

The heat it produces will dry 4c hair when fully wet, I would not use it as a hair straightner final or only step, but it would def be a great prepping 1st step.

Does the brush part twirl or does it stay put?

The brush part stays put. It does not twirl. Love this for travel!
