5064M Sandwich Maker, Purple

NOT impressed with this item!!The plates were greasy, to start with, as though someone had previously owned/used It!I have been brought up with Sandwich Toasters (and used them ever since. I love the "Toasties" that come out of it). So, therefore KNOW how to use a Sandwich Toaster. When putting the ingredients onto your bread (with the spread on the outside of the sandwich, so they do not stick to the hot plates), not to over-pile your ingredients onto the bread. Place the top slice of bread onto your ingredients. When finished, pull the top half of the Sandwich Toaster, down to meet the bottom half. Apply slight pressure to meet the bottom and click the latch into place. Leave for a few minutes, or until the green light goes out, and carefully remove the "Toasties" from the hot plates, using a non-stick utensil/non-stick tongs (usually a pair of non-stick tongs are included in the box!). When hot plates have slightly cooled, take a damp dish cloth, and wash the plates ensuring that the hot plates are clean for the next person to use. Again, ensuring not to burn yourself.However, I had followed these instructions, until it came to putting slight pressure on the top half, of the Sandwich Toaster. The plastic cracked, as soon as I brought the lid down. No pressure was even applied, but broke on my touch. The handles were scalding hot (which are not supposed to be) and the plastic casing at the top, just cracked and broke off, I presume with the heat (which again, should not have happened!).I was unable to enjoy my "Toasties", as I could not close the top, to cook! There was no green light, only a red and orange light. Oh, and there was a strange bulky plug on the end. Never seen one like it before!Totally disappointed with this Item! Was thrilled when I was informed that there was a Purple Sandwich Toaster on sale. Shall try and send a photo. I am hoping that I will get a full refund, as this item, should never be sold to anybody!! Extremely dangerous! It says in the booklet, a child (as young as 8yrs old), could use this item! Imagine a child using this item! Yes, I could imagine a child using this Sandwich Toaster- and being burnt, with the handles!!

It looked good and worked fine however, it broke after a couple of weeks. I was quickly refunded though so had it not broke it would of been 5 stars.

This item broke tbe frist time it was used the handled fell off so it wont close i have thrown it away as i didnt have the box to send it back.complete waste of money

Hi we made a cheese toastie and the whole of the bottom handle broke of first time using it so can use it now

Funciona bien pero se echa de menos un interruptor.Ya que cuando termina de hacer su función tienes que desenchufarla de la toma de corriente.

El peor producto que he comprado. Es imposible limpiarla del queso que funde, y después 1 mes se ha roto la mano

El color es como el de la imagen y el diseño bonito. Tuesta bien el pan pero no cabe una rebanada de pan de molde normal sin recortar las orillas.
