Kenra Dandruff Shampoo

My 13 year old daughter fights with on again off again severe dandruff, and when it is on, her part is full of flakes and greasy build up somewhat like cradle cap. The girl who does my hair recommended Kenra, and it worked fabulously. Not only does it control her dandruff, with use of a regular conditioner, her hair is gorgeous. Head and Shoulders would help somewhat with the dandruff, but her hair was dried out and looked unbrushed soon after she'd done it. The salon stopped carrying Kenra, so I let her use various other shampoos. When the dandruff came back full force, I ordered some from amazon, and sure enough, the same fantastic results. Her flakes are gone, and her hair is in beautiful condition. I can even tell when her little sister uses the Kenra instead of her other shampoo. Her hair comes out shiny and beautiful as well.

This shampoo works really well. I have thick course curly hair and dry scalp issues. I've used this twice a week for a little over a month now and I haven't had any dry patches flair up at all. I also didn't have to re-color after 4-6 washes like previous dry scalp shampoos have caused. It doesn't smell wonderful, not bad, just not fragrant so I recommend the Kendra Moisturizing Conditioner to pair with it, leaves hair super soft and smells like coconuts.

This stuff really does work! My scalp was getting very itchy and this stuff takes the itch away in just a few uses! It's also really gentle on colored hair - I have bright pink streaks in my hair and this stuff doesn't fade it out at all! I actually also combine this with some Viral pink shampoo and let both sit on my hair for a few minutes and they both work like a charm. Highly recommend!

Best stuff I have ever used, I have tried everything for years & years of struggle used Kenra once & it clear up a serious scalp issue.I also started using their shampoo & conditioner, does not irritate my scalp at all. Light scent but good!! I love it never going back I've tried very expensive name brands & all the low end brands nothing has worked for my scalp issue or my dry hair. This stuff is amazing! It's pricey but worth it if you have scalp issues! I'm gonna try & switch to their whole line!!

I would give this 5 stars because it does work great, and I am beyond happy about that, but I have 2 big issues with it. First, it smells....its not the worst smell ever but its not pleasant. To me it smells a bit like a grandma perfume but with another strange chemical smell (its also a very strange grey color and very thick). Secondly and the biggest deal for me is that the second I put this in my hair it sucks all the moisture out of my hair. My hair feels like straw after using this stuff, and that's while I'm still in the shower. After getting it rinsed out and towel dried my hair is heavy and stiff, I have to use my it's a 10 leave in conditioner just to get movement back in my hair to comb it out. I am only using this product once a week as an addition to my other shampoo rotation and it is keeping my scalp looking and feeling great. If you have colored hair like I do I wouldn't recommend using more than twice a week as it does tend to pull color.

Twice as much active ingredient than H&S brand - 1.9% zinc instead of just 1%. I bought this to help with dry, itching scalp and it works great. Only used it twice so far and already have relief. I bought the moisturizing conditioner as well and my hair is soft and feels great. The shampoo smells like a typical coal tar type shampoo- but it's light and doesn't linger. So far I'm very happy with Kendra products.

So the smell is terrible like terrribleeeeee.. I can’t even describe it smells like chemicals i dont know at least to me it did. Does leave your hair like a dry feeling but I only used it once so we will see if it works I’m sure it takes a couple tries to start working. But the smell and feeling is why I’m giving it a two star

This does help with my dry itchy scalp but it drys my hair out so much I can't even brush through my hair. When I use this I rub the shampoo into my scalp and then use my good shampoo in my hair.
