The Alpine Drive-less Head Unit is a mechless head unit with built-in Bluetooth for safe hands free calling, access to your phonebook, text waiting display and music streaming. It also allows you to listen to music from your iPod/iPhone. Play your iPod or iPhone via USB in and control music playback and search functions right from the Head Unit. Alternatively you can also switch to Direct Control Mode and control playback from the iPod and iPhone directly. App Direct mode allows you to enjoy the sound of any iPhone app through your car speakers while you charge your phone – very handy for internet radio or navigation apps. Use the voice control key to activate Siri on your iPhone 4S / iPhone 5 to control the music playback and place calls. This works also for Android phones with voice control function. The stereo also includes a front USB input to connect USB memory sticks and an AUX to connect any audio devices. This is a mechless stereo (no CD player built in), meaning there is now no need to carry around 100's of CD's.
