This basket is available in a number of places online, and the colours seem to vary a lot, with no real mention of it actually being available in different colours. Some look dark brown, some look black. We wanted one that looks like the picture here, a lighter brown. Very happy to say that is exactly what we got. We ordered from Maunders (Amazon seller), and it arrived very quickly, within a day.The basket seems sturdy enough to hold a load of logs, but it is very light, and although they look ok, the handles actually seem to be plastic to me, they are very light and feel flimsy, and are only attached by a few strands of wicker. It says "log carrying basket", but in my opinion if you intend to use this to actually carry a load of logs regularly from outside to your fire, it may not last very long. But we already have a canvas bag for lugging the logs around, so this will only ever sit by the fire and be loaded up as required. It looks great, very pleased.

After searching for a log basket that's neither too large or too small, this is perfect. Sturdy, and looks attractive by the log burner.

We are very happy with this basket. I think it is well made and a great size.I like the design and the metal handles are a nice touch

The basket looks fine and aesthetically would look good next to fireplace. However, it is not sturdy enough to carry wood. The weave is quite loose and the bottom not sturdy enough so there would be lots of bits getting through it unless it was lined. Overall it as sturdy as I’d hoped so I’ve returned it.
