QX6530 Capacitor Motor Run Round 30 uF MFD 370V HVAC

The capacitor in my pool pump stopped working, so I got this one instead of a more expensive unit at the nearby Leslie Pool Supply. I'm a couple months in and it works fine.

Saw a post where someone used this for a Peerless Flomaster 1hp pool pump. It worked and fit perfectly. Price 4x lower and pump works great now. Am sure there are other applications as well. Search part # from old part then make sure that electrical specs, dimensions and connectors are same. Worked great for me and was a snap to install. Warning: turn off the breaker and confirm powered down before doing any work.Why did I need this? My pool pump would not start and sounded like it was trying to start with a loud him but wouldn't. It worked fine the day before so I did not feel pump was locked up. I read a post where someone had same issue and replaced the capacitor and that fixed it. The capacitor as I understand it delivers additional volt/amps to get motor started. If capacitor is fried there won't be enough current to start the motor. Hence the him. Good luck.

This capacitor has outlasted any of the capacitors that I bought at the pool store. I’m getting more than a year on these but only getting six months on the pool store brand, which cost nearly three times as much. Salesman said older motors burn caps faster. Maybe, but the big problem is his unreliable caps.

Thank you for including product dimensions. This piece fits WhisperFlo pump cowlings, where other similarly spec'd capacitors are too large for the cover plate.

I have a pool pump with a century pool pump motor that originally had a genteq 27L1358 capacitor. You cannot ind that capacitor anymore and the replacement one is not the same dimensions. Finding a replacement capacitor of the same dimensions is also hard to find. On my third try this one fits and was the cheapest. You are looking for a capacitor that is only 1.75 in width, otherwise it will not fit in the housing. Installed in 5 mintes and pump is back at it.

This cap had all the advertised parameters I needed for my motor. However, it wouldn't fit under the housing on my motor. The overall diameter is not 1.75" but closer to 1.9"
