Teafco Argo Petagon Airline Approved, Large, Black

I bought this carrier to take my 11 month old Corgi with me on holiday. Being a longer breed, I felt that I needed a carrier that would maximize the space under the airplane seat to keep my pup comfortable. We were hesitant about getting a bag that went beyond the dimensional regulations for pet carriers with Southwest Airlines, but took the risk as this one was "airline approved". The airline didn't hesitate to permit the bag and most other people didn't realize that we had our dog traveling with us until we let him poke his head out of the top. I will say the height and length of large bag is really the max size that fits under the seat, but the width is narrow enough to allow for just enough space on either side to stretch my legs.

After a lot of research I decided to spend a little more for this brand. I'm happy I did and am huge fan of this bag (purchased both sizes - light blue and this larger black one). I wish there was an in between size! My puppy's now 17 lbs and has more than enough room to stand and turn around in the large options. I love that it looks more like a sports bag than a pet carrier. The divided storage pockets are great and offer an ability to organize supplies. My puppy has been on numerous airline trips and the air hole on one side is perfect for him to stick his head out but not escape. The material's easy to clean and has held up to numerous runs through a washing machine. The bag fits under the airline seats on larger planes very well (3 seats or more on either side of the aisle), however the smaller planes (2 seats on either side) are a tougher squeeze (it's a few inches too long). Now that my puppy's getting bigger I switch the tray insert from the blue size into the black bag which allows the bag to be squished enough under the seat (otherwise the tray spreads it out and makes the bag too long). Then flight attendants don't worry whether my feet space is properly clear. The smaller size is still used to carry him on errands because the black one feels bulkier than what I need for such trips. If I could add anything I'd add a detachable shoulder strap and pocket wheels.

This bag is amazing. A friend told me about this bag and said its the best out there. It really is! Definitely worth the price.My pup (tall and long bodied 12 pound Maltese poodle mix (??)) was a puppy mill rescue and relatively new to me when I had to travel with her. I was worried that she would be stressed while traveling being that everything is so new to her. I didn't want her to be uncomfortable or more scared than she had to be. I put a small blanket and a couple toys and she was totally fine. The bag is the perfect size for carryon and for under the seat. The top and sides are soft so they are "moldable" under the seat.I also liked that you put the dog in through the top. I had purchased another bag where I had to try to lure her in and she did not like it. With this one, I could put her in or she can hop in herself.Also, there are so many convenient pockets that can hold anything from treats to doggie bags to wipes to toys and more!The bag is decently vented and has a leash attached on the inside which was a great feature. The inside is wipeable and has a removable "cooling" mat which gives the bottom structure. There is also a little "window" that you can roll down so your pup can stick their head out.The only way this bag could be better is with a longer shoulder strap. With this length of these straps, I carried the bag on my forearm or held them with my hands. If I put the straps on my shoulder, my arm would be pressing on the dog.Can't wait to use this bag again!

The material is great, the size is fine, I have no issues at all with this carrier EXCEPT...The opening where you put your furry friend is extremely difficult to handle one-handed, whether opening or closing. The entrance is a U zipper that you pull. I have to put my little guy in from the top so it is absolutely necessary that one hand is holding him. If I let go he can just jump out the front. With my free hand I pull on the zipper opening but the case just comes with me because there is no tension on the other side. This makes for frustrating ins-and-outs when we go to the vet and such. I think I can probably solve this issue but it's been a pain so far.

I have 2 mediums and love them. I assumed the large would be the same bag but larger. It's not.Your pet can only enter/exit from the top which is a huge pain to open. It needs a zipper door at one end like the medium has. The bottom pad piece is a weird it's rounded at the bottom and just too wide for a shoulder bag. A bag this large should have a long strap option that clips on each end like a duffle bag. The seat belt slot is on the wrong side for you dog to be able to use the peekaboo opening to see you in the drivers seat, which mine want to do. I only had 13 lbs of dogs in it and it was really awkward and hard to carry. I can't imagine if you maxed it out at 22lbs it says it will carry. I returned it

I did a lot of research before buying this pet carrier. I needed one that would be durable enough to hold my large cat while flying across country. I thought she might try to claw her way out so it had to be strong. This carrier did not disappoint. It is very well made. The top loading aspect can be a bit tricky if you have a cat that resists getting in it, but once they are in, it's easier to close it before they jump out. I bought a different carrier for my other smaller cat and it's impossible to get it closed before she jumps out again.
