Actually a good value and I needed to use it recently. Unfortunately (realized later) i was using an aluminum hardware and I was quickly disappointed and skeptical till I tested it on my toolbox and worked really well. Luckily the hardware was simply dropped on the ground and I was just too lazy to reach, but eventually had to do the extra work and grab it the old fashion way. So yeah, be extra careful not to drop your aluminum hardware in hard-to-get places. The magnet is very strong and will work for your ferrous parts just fine.

Great magnet, strong, and I use this regularly.

Does what it is intended for. Extends a very strong magnet to pick up those pesky drops of small metal objects. Sturdy metal extension works smoothly both extending and retracting and is not overly heavy. The only drawback is the use and/or placement of the pocket clip. It is a little low for the top heavy tool and would be better served in a pouch with a belt loop or clip.

Not as strong as advertised. Magnet pulled off stem after a few uses. Had to epoxy it back on.
