Hardwood - yes, thin carpet - no
Hard wood floor? Definitely yes! but even the slight bump or thin (3mm) carpet will render it nearly immobilized. I had to gift it a push onto the carpet many times - however it did do a good job cleaning it prior to becoming immobilized again.

I am really pleased with it
For the price, I got it on a lightning deal, I am really pleased with it. I live in a bungalow with all wooden flooring and it has worked flawlessly since I have had it. It is no good for large pieces of debris, but for general dust and dog hairs it does the trick, got to be one of the best £50 I have spent, set it going when I go to work, by lunch time it’s done what I wanted it to do. Important to keep the brush on the side clean and untangled. The dog loves following it around too !!

Lasted under 4 months only!
I loved this while it worked...however now it has just stopped working and not sure what the problem is? I have tried everything the booklet tells you to.....
