This Samsung Galaxy Note 8 case is so well made compared to the previous case I had purchased. It is extremely durable, covers all edges and corners with no visible gaps (unlike others I have tried from online), and appears that it will be able to withstand more of a fall than my previous phone case.I still recommend an extremely high end (warranty driven, name brand) screen protector, either from your carrier or one such as Otter Box. The screens on the Note 5 front & back are not known for being able to take much of a fall, fyi.The rubber cushioning inside this case wraps entirely around the body of the phone back and sides, including buttons. So the back is very well protected. It conned with a 2 part locking system. Great directions, and a very durable feel. Yet still maintains its slim and sleek style, while offering significant protection.The only other option, in my opinion would be going to a bulky Otter Box or other water proof case. I certainly didn't want that, as the phone is already large. Also, you give up so much style with those cases. (I know, vanity over durability?!l)I hope this helps. I was in love with my previous case, and I received tons of great response on it, but then the first time it's dropped on its face, the front piece broke. When I went back to reorder, their reviews had significantly dropped. This product feels at least three times more durable in my hand than my previous case, more solid. It also has the gap covered, around the edges, so I don't collect annoying debris right where the screen protector edge and case meet. Best of luck!

I ordered this case right after I got a hold of my preordered note8 I've had this case for about 3, almost 4 months now.Pros:• Protection - I'm clumsy and I've dropped my phone several times already from heights up to 4ft. I've checked my phone screen and rear and no cracks!• Easy install - as long as you know the order for which part to put first, taking it on and off is easy.• Slip-free - the sides provide a great grip. I've ridden my longboard with my phone at hand. Thankfully no accidental slips!• Aesthetics - this case is pretty good lookin' the reason why I wanted to purchase it in the first place• Price - I bought this for $9Cons:• Bulky - ya already kno• Stain magnet - after 2 months of use, the outside started to become noticeably darker on the outside and turned into some sort of dirty rose gold. Won't take a star off because it might be different for darker colors.

UPDATE: I lowered my review to four stars for a few reasons. First, after a drop to the pavement, the hard case surrounding my screen snapped. My phone was still undamaged, but the hard case strip doesn't do much to protect the phone, makes it nearly impossible to use a screen protector (I managed to fit one on, but the pressure caused the tempered glass to crack on the corners), and makes the case more difficult to take off. The soft body of the case is really what does the most protecting.Second of all, the corner of the phone where the stylus is held is not entirely protected. This is to ensure that the stylus is easy to access, but my actual phone is now scraped on the corner.Third, the case is so thick that I can't use the aux cable in my car to listen to music. The headphone jack is accessible only if your headphone connector is skinny, otherwise the rubber at the head of the connector will be blocked by the case.All in all, my original comments still stand; it's a very good case for the money and has protected my phone very well through several bigs drops with almost no problem. The soft outer body really does a great job to absorb shock and prevent damage. I would still recommend this case to anyone who wants great phone protection without having to pay $30+.Original Review:This case is pretty durable. It fits flush against the phone's surface without risking any cosmetic damage to the phone itself; removing it can be tricky, but no parts of the phone are put under any stress during removal. I bought the pink case, and it looks nice from the front (the back is a bit clunky looking, but who really cares?). The power, volume, and Bixby buttons on the side are actually easier to use with the case on, which I really appreciate.I do have some minor complaints, however. First, the hard plastic rim that attaches directly to the phone makes it difficult to find a tempered glass screen protector that will fit properly. Second, the case is a bit bulky. The Note 8 is a fairly slim phone, but the case adds about a centimeter to the length and width, making it a bit more difficult for me to hold. Third, I wish there was a better variety of colors or designs to choose from.That being said, I am still giving the case five stars, as it does what is intended to do. It feels incredibly sturdy, and could easily handle a hard drop to the pavement. It may not be the best looking or the slimmest case, but it does the job well for an accident prone person like myself at a very good price.
