How to Build Max-Performance Mitsubishi 4g63t Engines

I bought the book recently on Amazon and must say it is EXCELLENT! One of my DSM buddies just bought it after seeing it and last night at a mini- DSM meet I showed it to a couple guys who looked through it and are now planning to buy it as well.This book truly is an excellent reference guide on the 4G63T engine and the DSMs, Evo's and a few other cars that use it.I am "SeaveeDSM" on the DSMtuners forums (one of the most well known forums about DSMs). This book is not a "substitute" to a car-specific forum with the wealth of knowledge available in that kind of environment nor is intended to be. But for a single-source reference where in one book almost every aspect of these engines is covered its simply fantastic.Everything is covered from basics to more complex things about the engine. The color pics throughout are awesome and the writing style is such that even laypeople who are not mechanics (but with a basic understanding of engines) can grasp the concepts without being overwhelmed. Thats not to say its overly simplistic because its not at all. Anyone from a newbie to a certified mechanic or a prospective purchaser of a 4G63T based car would thoroughly benefit from this book.Someone planning performance upgrades to a 4G63T based car especially should get this. It will save many times the cost of this book by following the very sound general advice and pros and cons of different performance path choices. The book does NOT try to steer someone to a particular brand or product in any way at all. It does however provide VERY accurate and correct information on the relative merits (or lack thereof) of various types of parts upgrade scenarios and paths.This book is absolutely worth every of penny its price in my opinion.As a "lifer" DSM owner and enthusiasts this book is a "must have".

Great reading material and good information put on this. It is not step by step book but it will giude you in the right of things and provide plenty of history as well. Do recommend to any DSM fan, Thank you.

Awesome book! Even if your an experienced DSMer this book throws in some refreshers that are great to review. If your new to the DSM game then you need to read this entire book. It goes through a little history and it goes through modifications for making big power. The only thing bad I would say is I wish it talked a little more about the Cyclone Manifold.

This was a great help for building up my motor. Everything i wanted to know and needed to know was in this book. I am very happy about the details about the motor. All the information i need was in it and things i didnt even know. This is a great buy for any one that is going to build there 4G63T would learn every thing they need to know before spending money in the wrong areas. And having the pain to start all over again...

Love this book. Lots of info on a 4g63 engine. Good to read to know what parts are.

Great overview of the engine and it's potential. I have a much deeper understanding of the decisions I'll need to make for my build. Would have loved to see a few examples of successful engines. Also some editing could be done as the engine is referred to as a 4G36 through most of the middle of the book.

Awesome book with tons of information on old DSMs and evos

Exactly what we needed to help rebuild and tune our 4G63T. Amazing detail, superb clarity and complete information. We have this motor in two different cars (both 6-bolt): a '92 eagle talon tsi, and a '92 dodge colt (mitsubishi mirage). I love this motor :)
