Windows will immediately get drivers for this and it will start working properly. Then go into Bluetooth settings and reconnect your stuff. Again, this may be unnecessary (uninstalling any other BT adapters is not unnecessary, do that if you have built in BT), but it's what I did to ensure everything was working perfectly smoothly.I've only had it for about a week and have not had any issues so far, will update if it dies on me. So far, it is working better than the other cheap one I had.

I work in a lab with ALOT of walls, cubicles and interference. The native bluetooth on my laptop will get me to the network printer about 45 feet away, but it starts to lose integrity and signal. This little bluetooth adapter works FANTASTIC! I can now go to other offices - more than 90 feet away! That's where it starts to lose integrity. And that's with at least 3 brick walls and who knows how many cubicle walls between me and the transmitter. I highly recommend this little device.
