I've finally found the router I've been looking for.
This is an industrial strength router that has performed flawlessly so far. I have a cable and DSL connection coming into the house and I've wanted a good dual WAN router for a while now to manage this but couldn't find an affordable model that had the performance and features I wanted, until now.Let's go through the features.High NAT throughput. This is the only relatively inexpensive router that I could find that provided the necessary level of performance. Everything else either didn't specify this or it was a low number like 40Mbps and that's just not good enough, especially with connections getting faster and faster. The combined up/down throughput of both of my connections is 180Mbps, and this router can move 350Mbps across the WAN, plenty fast so that it's not a bottleneck and with plenty of room for upgraded speeds down the road.Management interface is fast and clean with an abundance of options.Syslog output so I can feed it to my monitoring software.30,000 concurrent connections per WAN link. A big plus here. Torrent away to your hearts content, refresh 5000 game servers at once, whatever, this router can handle it.Documentation is a bit on the thin side but if you're buying this thing, you probably have a higher level of network understanding than the average person.Don't need the VPN functionality so I can't comment on it but it's nice to know that it's there. It just works out of the box. Setting up the links was painless, set the correct throughput values to get the load balancing working properly and you're off and running. There's a tremendous amount of functionality and customization available but just getting it up and running is no problem at all.For 2 internet connections or very heavily connected households, this is the router to get. It won't hold you back or let you down.Currently in the house, there are...3 desktops2 televisions3 laptops4 Android tablets1 ipad1 ipod2 Android phones2 IP phones1 Xbox 360The wireless devices are fed by 3 TP-Link WL TL-WA901ND 300Mbps AP's, bridged and spread out over a 3000sq ft house to ensure adequate coverage. A Dell 2824 handling switching duties. That's a mix of 19 wired and wireless devices regularly connected, not counting a number of other transient devices like an eye-fi card uploading pictures from a camera, friends phones, laptops, etc. It's not unheard of to have 30 connected devices in my home at one time and this router is up to the task.

Excellent Device and Featureset
The device has every feature necessary for a Dual-WAN router and a relatively clean interface. The manual doesn't clearly explain some of the features (multi-nets NAT) and port VLANs. Multi-nets NAT isn't necessary unless you are trying to have traffic cross the port VLANs, and the port VLANs still require a router as the TL-ER6120 acts as an L2 switch. Some other Dual-WAN devices offer a gateway for each VLAN for more granular control, but the device works extremely well.As a note-- the QoS options are limited. I'm surprised there don't seem to be any DSCP or 802.1q options on the device. In addition, we were getting excellent throughput through the device. Highly recommended. Professional looking and solid construction. Could use a better manual and description of what each feature actually does.EDIT: After continued usage and testing, I'm definitely seeing some weirdness on the NAT, possibly due to our use of Multi-nets NAT in addition to a one-to-one forward to one of the multi-nets and access rules. While we can set up port forwarding, etc, the device doesn't seem to handle a DMZ device accessing the web well, as the access rules block all incoming ports except for what is opened. While it is a great device if it fills your needs, there is definitely some oddness behind the access rules and ports. For example: accessing the web requires all incoming ports on the WAN as open, even though the NAT should be taking care of this.

SMB Wired Router for Enterprise or Non-Enterprise Network
This is not a cheap router what you get is TP-LINK top end Wired Small Business Enterprise Network Device. VPN (virtual private network)device but if you don't need VPN connection tunneling you can disable this feature. SafeStream has extra firewall protection more than any one really needs but shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth either because what you get for your money is well work it. Don't worry about the price even the top of the line home router mostly plastic can't even touch this device.CaseBlack/Dark Gray17.3" (yes it huge)Fan-less designFeaturesManaged PortsGigabit PortsMegabit PortsDual WAN PortsTriple LAN PortsDMZ LAN PortSerial Console PortCPU500MHz OCTEON Plus CN50XX Single Core MIPS64 (64-bit) Embedded Processor Family32K Instruction Cache16K Data Cache2K Write Buffer128K L2 CacheRAM128MB DDR2 Hyper Access Memory ControllerPorts10m, 100m, 1000mManaged SwitchPorts can be set to Auto, 10m, 100m, 1000mUpstream from your ISP ProviderHere you can set your Upload Speed in KBDownstream from your ISP ProviderHere you can set your Download Speed in KBExampleSay you got 50m down and 10m upBasicDownstream = 51200Upstream = 10240orBestDownstream = 102400Upstream = 20480The Router can measure CPU usage also.If you have anything that use UPnP this router will auto setup it for you.Port Forwarding Client Software this router will do the rest. Nothing foryou to worry about if you use Bit Torrents apps like Vuze or uTorrent an etc.I use this router along with their JetStream Managed L2 16-port Switch that has outgoing firewall to block apps that call home. That switch is very good to excellent.Anyway the TL-ER6120 is an excellent replacement for any Wireless Router used as the main Wired connection to your WAN (Internet) or managed Wired LAN. What I do is use the ESR600H as the main Wireless Access Point.Everything that connected via JetStream Managed L2 16-port switch to extend switching from TL-ER6120 so that the router can managed the DHCP and the external switch managed the devices. In all you have one sound network running.I also had the TL-ER5120 is the same except it has Quad WAN that shares LAN ports that can be used as WAN up to 4x only. This gives you 120,000 sessions connections. So per 4x WAN x 30,000 = 120,000. On the TL-ER6120 with 2x WAN x 30,000 = 60,000 sessions connections. So if yo use 1x WAN you have 30,000 sessions connections. The TL-ER5120 is older design than the TL-ER6120 is a newer design.WEB UI is very easy to learn and use. There is a simulator available on TP-LINK USA under the support link. TL-ER6120 right there. This can give you a chance to try out this router using your web browser.I just did a firmware update which I highly recommend doing.

Performante in velocità

Aswome vendor, product is great, no issues yet (only been a few days installed).
Product is awesome and does exactly what I need it to do. I waited until the holidays were over before changing my infrastructure at home. As a remote worker I need to be able to leverage upcoming broadband changes without drama of MAC address link to vendors. ISP in my area link the first device MAC address to the modems so if you change out a switch or home side router. That device change (different MAC) kicks out the internet. You end up in a support queue 45+ to chat with someone to 'troubleshoot' broadband connection. Normally a MAC clone does the job however I wanted the ability to add in additional broadband. This is where the TP-Link ER6120 comes into play. I would probably only leverage 2 broadband in one appliance. I also use IPsec VPNs so I wanted to manage that on the appliance as well. Anyhow, a 3rd broadband (for me) might be cellular but if 2 providers are down on different networks (cable and DSL). There are bigger problems going on at that time. I can tether a notebook to a cell device and LTE/GSM leverage. My setup on the LAN side is LAN1 copper Ethernet network distribution; LAN2 is access point (one specific area) ; and LAN3 is another branch with an access point (another specific area). This enables me to deal with 3 isolated branches to quickly identify outages on my end. Just to identify point of failures. Additionally the 3 zones I have will ensure the broadband balancing is managing that traffic without junk traffic on my copper LAN (Ethernet devices). No issues with the 6120 at all. All issues were ISP related. Be sure to apply a route from your LAN link to the WAN link. This way your 6120 DCHP 'private' internal network knows how to get out to the "Providers" version of a LAN private network. Look into YouTube's for the product if you're unsure on the setup of 6120. Not much out there but as an appliance, it's pretty straight forward. It only really get messy when you introduce VPN.Vendor was excellent. I was processed quickly. Product was updated to me as 'general' status. I knew when it was shipped, with a tracking number. The ETA estimated delivery date form vendor was average / conservative due to the holiday 2016-2017. However, when the product was dispatched to the shipping carrier that carrier was in high delivery volume mode to push everything through. Product was delivered first day back off holidays. The great delivery service will fall back onto the vendor as just, awesome! The appliance has only been installed a few days I don't have any feedback on hardware challenges. If there is a problem or I encounter a challenge worth noting. I will update the feedback here.Hope that helps out, good surfing!
