I loved Nylabone but after a $7300 vet bill caused by their products, I am rethinking.
I have purchased several of these and other nylabones. My boston frenchie puppy loved them and always worked on them for a long time before wearing them down. When I gave him a new one most recently he chomped through it on the second day -- he had others of the same type at the same time so I know this toughness was adequate for him. I was supervising him the full time he was chewing (I take it away when I leave) so I saw that he was taking chunks off so I threw it away. Two days later he started vomiting up blood and wouldn't stop. I had to take him to a vet, who did x-rays and gave him an IV ($300), and then an emergency clinic the next day since he was still vomiting blood and couldn't even hold down water. He was hospitalized for a foreign body obstruction caused by two large pieces of the Nylabone, which he had managed to swallow before it tore it away.I loved Nylabone, as did many of my family dogs, and always recommended it but this was scarring. I am lucky since my puppy is my comfort animal so he is with me nearly 24/7 and I watch him carefully with all of his toys -- this could have been even worse if I had not taken the bone away immediately. The emergency clinic cost me $7000; even if this product were free, it wouldn't be worth the risk for my baby. This review pains me to leave since I do love the brand and I have had many positive experiences but I am torn after this most recent encounter with their products. I can no longer recommend it openly but if you do choose to purchase, BUYER BEWARE.

A better reaction than expected from our pup
The media could not be loaded. Our new puppy is about 15 weeks old and 8lbs, a Jack Russell mix. It has been a struggle finding teething toys for him to chew besides our hands and random sticks, rocks and bamboo from the backyard. He hasn't been interested in other rubber, plush, rope or nylabone puppy toys, but I thought I'd give this bacon one a try. Unlike our peanut butter and chicken nylabone chew toys, which smelled like nothing straight out of the package, I could actually smell bacon on this one. Puppy was interested in it right away as you can see from the video. Then he fell asleep next to it after about 5-10 minutes of vigorous gnawing. I really hope we have a winner with this one.

Pretty good chew toy
This treat captured our puppy's interest for a longer stretch than most. He was able to make some dents and scratches but couldn't destroy it, so that is a plus. Like most of his indestructible treats, he gets bored with it after a bit, but if I put it away for a while and then let him rediscover it, he regains interest.

My dog has no interest in this chew toy.
I thought I was getting two small bones in this package but instead it's one long bone that resembles two smaller bones. My shih tzu pup is a few months old and loves toys and things to chew, but she has zero interest in this bone. It doesn't appear to attract her by sight or smell. It does appear well made however. It stays in the toy box. Maybe it's my dog... she love she all of her other chew toys but not this one

Nylabone Puppystix
This is a cute toy for a small pup or small dog. It was perfect for my French Bulldog pup but once my Pit Bull found it, well, the toy did not last much longer. On a scale of 1 to 5 I'd say my French Bulldog pup's interest in this particular toy was a 3-4 and my Pit Bull's interest was a 5. Nylabone is my go-to brand for all my dog toys and this toy did not disappoint.

This chew toy has been great! Our puppy spent
Our puppy is going through his biting and chewing everything stage. We try to keep lots of chew toys around for him to use so that he doesn't chew our things. This chew toy has been great! Our puppy spent, at least, two hours consistently chewing on this toy yesterday. It seems that he likes the flavor since he kept going back to chew on it. He also barely chewed off any of the plastic which is great because I know that the toy will last a while unlike rawhides or other chew toys that I have bought in the past.

Great for small breed puppies
Was surprised it was not in two pieces, but one long piece (about 6 inches). My 14 week old chihuahua terrier mix foster puppies love it (they're about 7lbs each) , they're wrestling each other for it now, so I will need to order a few more. The size of this would not be appropriate or safe for a large breed teething puppy.

More for large breed puppies
My pup loves this but I thought it was going to be smaller than it is. the 2 bones are fused together - missed that from the picture. Would be great for a puppy of a bigger bread but a little big for my mini dachshund. He still loves it and drags it around though.

confused
unfortunately there seems to have been a mix up, since i was sent one puppy chew toy in the shape on a fish, disappointed because i was paying for two chew toys... might do an update to say how my pup likes the fish though i guess. -edit-she destroyed the fish though i think it was a cats toy (?); i was sent the bones after i sent an email to the seller explaining the mix up, and when frozen my young puppy was very content to chew it while on my lap, but wouldn't even notice it when it warmed up, which it did quite quickly- also, i didn't notice this when i ordered, and it isn't a big thing, but theyre bacon flavoured bones, which meant puppy and myself smelt of bacon for awhile! I think my (now 6months) dog has now buried the bone/s in the garden since i haven't seen it in awhile...

Brilliant first puppy chew toy
This Nylabone is made of the softer rubber and is ideal for very young puppies. Safe and a hit with my litter of pups. Would recommend this product as an ideal first puppy chew toy before they start cutting their adult teeth. However as the rubber is quite soft I would not let them have this product through the teething stage, which starts at approx 4 months, they would need a firmer harder nylabone.

NYLABONE PUPPY STIX
I THOUGHT THIS ITEM WAS A PACK OF 2, HAVING 2 COLOURS & PACK STATING IT WAS FOR PUPPIES, & PURCHASED IT FOR MY MINI YORKIE BUT IT IS FAR TOO HEAVY FOR HIM & HE WON'T TOUCH IT.THE WORD STIX ALSO INFERS IT IS MORE THAN ONE WHICH IS FALSE ADVERTISING.A REAL WASTE OF MONEY.

perfect
I had one of these for our previous pup and this helped so much with her teething, it was her favourite chew toy and lasted her lifetime (which sadly was very short at 9 months due to surgery complication)But I purchased this for my eldest daughters new pup as I knew how good it was.Highly recommend
