Q: Do the jackets run small?

Very much so! The printed label inside the lime green Adult Small I just returned agreed with the size chart in customer images: 35" to 37.5" chest, '>90 pounds'. Not even close. My child's chest is 33", and the zipper was at least 4 inches from meeting. Nice looking, but you're in the dark for sizing. Buy at least a size or two up if you want to roll the dice.

This is a great life jacket! I swim like a fish but we were at Lake Powell, the water was deep & I was unfamiliar with the currents. Better safe than sorry! I have the XL but I weigh 165lbs but am 5’7”. I would try the large for yourself! You don’t want it pushing up around your neck.
